Wait a minute, screen shot is from Carplay? iOS or Android device?
From CarPlay, using the OBD Fusion app on my iPhone 11 Pro ?

Would anyone in the threat have the Pid for the electronic wastegate duty cycle? I have been searching for it for a while. I have an old obd2 link so don't have access to the enhanced ford Pids.

I just did a quick glance at OBDlink with 2022 Ford/Lincoln/Mercury PID library and didn't see it. But I did find:
(what do you think that PID would tell you regarding duty cycle? Afterall, it is a % value. Sound promising? )

I think that would be equivalent of the % of open on Forscan? ?
I did use Forscan to monitor those at one point when I was playing around with it driving around neighborhood.

That sounds very promising!
Not so much, it turns out. At least not in the App "OBDlink" on Android.

I threw up both PIDs on my Powerboost dashboard just to get an idea of what they report.

Here they are at coldstart cruise down my road front:
(2 basis square non-customized gauges)

Notice Boost is actually in vacuum at this state. Totally normal.
Whatever the WasteGate Position Sensor is, it's getting 2.7V
The WasteGate Solenoid Valve % = 0

Although I don't know what that % value demonstrates, I assume the wastegate is open and there's no boost being requested.

Here's a snapshot just driving casually while I get the truck up to operating temperature : (although the truck is actually in EV mode and ICE is off. Those dang Powerboost. Lol)

Ford F-150 PID experimenting 20241107_101143

Do note that in EV mode the voltage at the WG sensor increased to 4.1V
Throughout the commute, this was consistent. The highest voltage was when ICE turned off.

Now here's a medium Boost condition: (9pounds)

Again, the WG% didn't do anything, but the WG Voltage dropped by 50%

Here's a WOT capture:
(I included the electrification PIDs in this capture so that you can see that the torque request from the engine management system provided 17 pounds of boost AS WELL AS 133A/272V-~50HP of electric "boost"
The big fat pig-brick landyacht will flat out hustle up to go-to-jail-speed very quickly)

But note that unhelpful WG% PID?

Nothin! ?

So OBDlink doesn't appear to have anything to report duty cycle. At least not that I found easily.

I have other Android apps. I'll see if there's something in one or more of them.

Doesn't help that OBDLink update broke the app so cannot do PID searching like the old version. ?
Search is useless now.

Yeah, that search was so good and now so weak.

Used to search the whole library from the root. Now it even gets poor results at the single module level.

@Snakebitten

Dang, well thank you for checking. It looks line neither the duty cycle nor voltage readout work correctly. I have HP Tuners that pulls the correct data, but I don't know how to find out what the Pid would be from that.

I've looked in Torque Pro, Carscanner, and OBDlink.
Now I'm sifting through Forscan Lite. I'll let you know if I find anything.

But yeah, these mobile apps can't compete with HPTuner, or even the full version of Forscan.

Search is useless now.
I reported the issue to OBDlink and got a quick response from "Manny"

They describe the request as me asking for "universal search".
Which sounds like they understood the complaint.

I then described the issue with the search tool no longer seeing the entire PID description, including the "format" of the value the PID renders. Example: search for the character "%"
This previously would show all PIDs that report the integer as a percentage.

They responded that they checked my complaint and discovered that it works for SAE PIDs, but not for OEM PIDs. So they added that to the request.

It was a pretty efficient back & forth, so at least the customer has their attention. Now let's see if it really gets action. :)
