combination of carelessness on our part and salesperson's convenient omission, our 2023 Lariat 501A does not come with front parking sensors and 360 deg cameras. it does not have any front visibility when park head-in. now the only reasonable choice is to install front parking sensors for $900 (retrofitting the 360 deg cameras is out of question due to complexity and cost). i'm still on the fence on the parking sensors, do any of you have just the front parking sensor and not the 360 deg camera? do the sensors help a lot when head-in parking?

thats all I have are sensors. and yes they help. once you learn to "read" the beeps you can get pretty darn close without touching things
I still find there is a lot of space left even after I freak out and stop moving closer!

The only problem with the beeps is that sometimes a single obstruction like a pole won’t be seen and if a driver becomes emboldened by the parking sensors...Bam!

Can you get by without them? Sure. But they help *immensely* with a vehicle this large if you're trying to park in tight spots.

this is true, they do seem to have some odd blind spots. wish I had the camera. I dont understand why Ford sells the upper trim packages without them being standard. oh well.
but the sensors alone are fine against garage walls or other flat objects like other cars etc

did you take a big hit on the trade in?
Cost me $1k on trade, at the time it was worth it. Given my current capabilities I'd just add it now today. At the time I was super busy and worth it, was a write off.

Interesting
My 2023 King Ranch did not include front sensors with the standard package as ordered.
I did not want the High package.
I got 360 Assist/camera which specifically excluded the front sensors
With the camera, I was willing to take the hit.
When I got the new truck home, I was surprised when the front sensors activated- Nice Ford surprise/accident.
FWIW- I prefer the camera over sensors

It does help sometimes, but I typically back in when I can. I use the side cameras to see if I'm in the lane more than the front camera or sensors.

This depends on how hard you’re willing to push and if you’re willing to go outside of your local area to buy. I traded in a 22 lariat on a 22 platinum after 6 months of ownership and only 5 payments. I made about $50 trading it in based on what I owed, not the original purchase price
