I have a dozen updates pending across a few vehicles. When I run FDRS again, I'll just start updating / flashing modules to try and find a flaw. When I got it, I just started using it and it just worked for everything. I'm the type to kick off an update and wander away and come back to it. It'll complete or it won't and since it arrived it was all I used.

Anyone that's done the latest 150 IPMA files, go get them out of the FDRS directory and I'll just load em w/ forscan.

I wrote BAE IPMA software to the MME w/ it.
If BBC (or is it BAE) is on my 150, that was written to it w/ it as well.
Too lazy to go hook up to the truck right now and see what forscan reports.

@rugedraw, if you do a full suite of updates, clear out your FDRS cache first and then send me the files. Turn on 'view hidden files/folders' and navigate here and give me a torrent link or other large data storage sharing means
C:\ProgramData\Ford Motor Company\FDRS\fdrs\data\vehicle_software
That's where FDRS hides everything it downloads before writing to the vehicle.

It'd be nice if we had a place to up the files to, I have 15GB worth of files to store. Have a few people do sync'd folders and anyone who gets FDRS can just populate files out to others for sideloading. Need to create a little app that can then notify when new device release populates into the shared folder and what device it can be written to. Shared community file pool for side loading....

IMHO, the best (wireless) FORScan approved adapter is the OBDLink MX+. I like the wireless version because I use it with FORScan for programming and with FORScan Lite (and other software) on a tablet to make dashboards and monitor custom PIDs while driving.
Thank you, I was just curious...seems this might be good for monitoring. Me personally, will always be hardwired when dealing with software updates or FW. Wireless has bitten me in the a** several times through the years but I was doing some experimenting and even bricked a couple devices...of course, I was able to fix but that required me to be wired.

I can start doing that going forward, but my FDRS cache is cleaned out. The only files I have are for the F150 BBC IPMA as I find those are the only useful ones I need to help people when they want to FAAFO.

However, it is simple enough to get files. I have access to thousands upon thousands of VINs which I can type into FDRS and as long as they have the update pending, I can get the files. I'd be happy to work on this with you.......I think it is a great idea.

Aaaannnnnnd we totally hi-jacked this thread. :ROFLMAO:

I mean, if I had the ability to split a thread I would. Been a feature of forum operations for over 2 decades.

Dors using the Mongoose void your warranty
?
No. The Mongoose is officially supported by Ford and FDRS is Ford's software; you have to pay Ford for a license to access it.

However, if something messes up while you are updating, it will be up to you to fix it. You can't take it to the dealer to fix under warranty if you "broke" it.

With that said, if an update does fail, we can help you fix it as we have done countless times here.

Canadian Dollars? Amazon Canada shows $801.
Wonder if thats bc it’s made in US and Canada already has Tarrifs? Would be great if everyone would just get rid of them altogether.

I think more that the Canadian dollar is doing worse against the US dollar.
