OTA Updat6.5.0 - issues...again

update 6.5.0 happened yesterday. So... of course more small but VERY annoying issues...again!
this morning i get into my truck the interior lights no longer come on when i open the door.
anyone had this happen? or know how to get them back on? there's no switch for them that i see, and i found nothing in the on screen menu.

for he record.. i HATE "OTA" updates!!!! ? stupid, and NEVER done anyting to "enhance" my experience. I've NEVER noticed one damm thing, other than problems, with every single one of them, it's infuriating!!!

FORD MOTOR COMPANY guys that manage OTA... just for the love of GOD.... STOP!!!!!!!

There is a button on the overhead console that controls if the interior lights come on when you open the doors. Try that.

If the above suggestion doesn't work for you, and if you have FORScan, run the service procedure to reboot the BCM. If you don't have FORScan, you could try disconnecting the positive battery terminal for 20 minutes.

yep.. i'm the idiot this time ? ? i found it. Ive never even seen thatt button before. Istill wonder WHY this OTA updates do the dumbest things.
They also do not explain what the update is actually doing.

Did your welcome lights on exterior come in? Sounds like it was in deep sleep mode. Mine did this it was a week battery.

They got the description wrong. Instead of "Minor adjustments to help you enjoy the journey
ahead.", they meant "Minor adjustments to help you enjoy the journey of discovery after this update." ?‍?

not at first. the update, turned off the interior lamps button ?

Have to dig through NHTSA website to get real details on what any of the updates do. OTA are mixed in with all the random dealer service fixes for common warranty work.

Happy that it installed for you. I had that one December or January and it didn't change my interior lighting. ?‍

i can turn off the OTA updates... but the constant notifications popping up on the screen drive me nuts.

I keep them turned off so I can install when I want them.

In your infotainment screen, Settings > Software Updates > Automatic Updates, you can turn them off there. You may still get notifications though, but at least it won't cause any unexpected problems or behaviours that weren't there before an auto update installed.

I get notification but it won't download unless I approve it.
