It has been quiet. We are waiting for Comma to approve the improvements we suggested for longitudinal control (they finally provided comments last week).

We are also working on fixing the issue where it cannot take tight turns, and where it tries to fight you after you make a turn without disengaging the comma.

when the newest model (LAv2) makes it into SunnyPilot you guys will be really impressed, it handles non-normal conditions really well.
Have you completed the PSCM update and does that change anything in those regards?

Hope to complete them tomorrow and find out. My mongoose was on loan, USPs says tomorrow by 2PM I’ll have it back.

Please keep us informed as to when it will hit the updated version of SP. We are all wanting to give it a try.

LAv2 drastically changes the lateral controls, so Sunny is having to rewrite a large portion of his code to accommodate it. I'm sure he is working feverishly, but it's a big update and might take a week or two.

I'm so excited to see this. Week or two is no big deal. The speed at which you guys are working is impressive.

I'm really excited for the update! do we need to update the PSCM? or is there any benefits of doing so?

Not sure yet. I’m installing the final update (I think) at this moment. Will need a few days of data logs to analyze and see if there is anything in the new PSCM update that helps.

got it. Just in normal case are we supposed to get the update OTA? or is it a dealer thing? I had some features removed/enabled via FORSCAN would this effect anything?

Thank you

2024 F-150 Lariat PowerBoost 7.2Kw
I've been watching this thread but have not read all 32 pages until this week. I was getting excited about OP because I have a 2024 Lariat PB on order that starts to be built on 3/11 and only got the BC 90 day trial because I was going to move forward with OP then I got to page 22 which said the TRON will probably prevent me from getting OP up and running. I've had a 21 Lariat PB with BlueCruise and have used it extensively agreeing with all the complaints about it shutting off all the time on the highway, having the truck beep at me for trying to look at the instrument cluster, etc. Last Oct my insurance company totaled my truck after I sideswiped a guard rail.

My question is how do you know if OP will work on a 2024 PB? Is it something as simple as someine getting a 2024 and testing it or does it go much deeper than that?

Great thread, thanks in advance.

it’s all speculation until someone gets their hands on a 2024. Where are you located? maybe we have someone close who can test.

edited to clarify that the "speculation" is that TRON will block OpenPilot. It is highly likely but not confirmed.

That part is not speculation. What is (very well education) speculation is that TRON will kill OpenPilot. We are all pretty confident it will, but still worth testing.
