Has anyone seen these recently? I feel like I used to get emails and such all the time about service specials, or could just go to my dealers website and there would be a coupon. But I haven't seen one in awhile. And they don't give you enough points to use fordpass rewards.

I'm ok with spending $80 on the works (well i think its a little spendy but ok), but I feel like they have been charging over $100 for awhile which seems very high for a oil change and tire rotation.

I feel like the days of dealer service "specials" are over. I have a few Ford dealerships near me, and all them are in the same ballpark for pricing, the cheapest one being $95 and the most expensive is $125. And that does not include taxes and their BS "shop fees".

I got oil changes for life with the package at time of purchase. Makes it nice!

I never got a single coupon or offer of a discount in over 3 years from my dealer since the day I bought my truck from them.

My dealer doesn't have any coupons or discount, but what they do have is every second oil change and inspection is free. They charge about $80.00 Cdn for the oil change.

Well waiting for it now. Quote was $83 for the works package (oil change and rotation) so I can’t complain too much.

They wanted to sell me on the $29 fuel cleaner but I passed. I figure I can do that anytime myself.

What's the mileage interval they allow? I still like to get mine changed at 3500 but what's the manual say these days? (I've never looked)
5500 to 6000 so pretty specific
Last time I was just under 5500...and they were hesitant, but they did it.

What gets me is they (or at least the dealers around here) still play the game of giving you a price for the "works" but that ends up being for some vehicle I'll never own because Our trucks take more oil so there's an additional charge....... Like Ford doesn't know that. Why they just can't give an honest exact price the first time ****es me off.......

My local dealer charges $89.95 for the Works (now). I also get 15% off everything (tires excluded) if you're a VET or FR.

Your experience matches mine. Our other car is a 2016 Fusion, and for the first several years deals / coupons were always available for the Works.

That all dried up around 2019.

That makes sense, considering how booked most dealers and repair shops are these days.

Surprisingly, this spring my dealer sent a $59 Works coupon via email. This was perfect timing for the Fusion's next oil change. Nothing since.

The F150 is on Premium Maintenance @ 5,000 mile interval. It's nice to have locked in the price.

I am *not* going to drive to Iowa every time I need an oil change!
?

yeah, there's at least one dealer here that does it--as part of their mandatory, extra cost above sticker, package.

still play the game of giving you a price for the "works" but that ends up being for some vehicle I'll never own
remember the bubble-gum pick and similar lavender escorts and rangers in the 80s?

I'm pretty sure that the only reason they existed was so that they could be advertised by vin at an attractive price to get people on to the lot so that they could be sold something non-embarassing. (Volkswagen had a wretched rusty red for their GTI at the time for the same reason).

During a dockworkers' strike, I passed by dealership lots and storage yards that had nothing but these oddballs on them.

I frequently receive discount mailers and service emails. Sales promotions as well.

Dealer here in Atlanta runs a $29 happy hour (after 2 pm) Works special. They use it as a loss leader for the $84 air filter and $69 cabin air filter but I decline every time and they don’t complain. $38 out the door including shop fees, the 6th qt of oil and tax.
