Does anyone have any recommendation on a oil change container that is also a carrier. I want to find something with a catch area that will minimize spillage when draining the engine oil pan.

There's a bunch out there. I finally settled on one that has a screw on lid about 6" in diameter along with a pour spout and handles on one end...

Ive been considering this, mostly because I have a HF nearby and the price is pretty reasonable. I just wasnt sure if the actual pan was large enough to avoid spillage. Also if their might be an alternative that seems to work better then most.

I got the one from Harbor Freight, used it once, and put it in recycling. It developed a hole and started leaking when I was going to drain it.

I read that in the reviews, it looks like a pretty common occurrence. I think the one from Wallyworld could be the winner.

Would recommend a fumoto valve to replace your drain plug.

I have one on all my vehicles. I have the ones with nipple that allows you to connect a piece of tubing to it. Have over 180,000 miles total on both vehicles. No leaks, perfect operation. Love them!

I ordered this as well. I really want to optimize this process so it can be quick and clean. I never want an excuse to not change the oil.

I have this to catch the oil. It's large and deep. Makes it easy to be lazy where you place it.

I dump it into a 5 gallon bucket. I have a lid for the 5 gallon bucket that has a pop up spout with a screw on cap. When the 5 gallon bucket is close to full. Put the lid on and easy peasy carry to where disposal is. Just to give you another option.

Better option is to install a Fumoto drain plug valve where you can attach a hose and run it directly into a jug. Zero mess (aside from the asinine way Ford has the oil filters drain).
