That Chinese patent (CATL) requires licenses to make that LFP battery. It's a GREAT battery formula.

Usually they clean up all of the political posts, so if you didn’t see it before it was cleaned up, you almost certainly didn’t see what the ban-able offense was.

Anyway, as Snakebitten states, technology transfers/angreements occur between companies all the time. Understand some concern if there’s a political/govt tie associated with a company, but not surprising for China. Heck, MANY companies have some kind ofgovt tie, especially cutting edge technology companies. As long as there are no computer chips coming from Chin….oh crap, never mind!!! ???

Hope Ford find a better way to handle this and get a reliable battery partner for its future EV roadmap.
Global supply chain criticises made the vehicle shipment much slower, more expensive.
Finally, all these are transferred into final consumers.
