Ooo. Something new to add!
But right now I have to finish removing that lame ass back up noise.
I can't believe ford used that speaker to spew out a endloader sound. Why they didn't just have it sound like a motor?
I have had 3 neighbors come by and in a nice way say they don't appreciate my truck. One asked me how hard it woukd be to push it out of the garage.
Ford mimics engine sounds in the cab, why not the reverse speaker?

Just though about something. My neighbors have dogs that bark all the time. Can someone help me make a barking dog sound?

You must live in a really nice neighborhood if the Powerboost is that bothersome.
I suspect it's the psychological power of suggestion that you are backing a bull dozer out of the garage? :)

Average. Just super annoying. I didn't have any direct comments. They said ...Like hey... how you going to sneak out at night. and I just had to come over to see what that sound was.
I do have a buddy that lives in a prestigious gated community and they have already banned backup beepers. We have a car audio shop here that installs switches that turn them off.
I bought a device that plugs into the harness fooling the truck into thinking the speaker is still attached. I woukd be willing to reconnect the speaker if output a engine muffler sound. "Or a dog barking"

Anyone willing to share more of their dashboard. Have tried to import both examples. The import works but when I try the gauge says everything is in MPH.

Yes, others on the forum have downloaded the file, changed the extension to stg, opened OBDLink, gone to settings, clicked the eclipse, chose import, pointed at the file, selected what properties they wanted from the file, and wallah.

Most have had to do some minor editing of placement unless they had identical resolution to the Samsung S21.
Doing a bump here, as I have to be overlooking something stupid obvious. I have downloaded all three files that you made available. Changed the extension to "stg". Opened OBDLink. Tapped Settings, then the ellipsis. Select Import Settings. Pick any of the three files. For "Select Settings to Import" I leave only Dashboards and User-Defined PIDs" selected, tap OK. On "Select Import Options" I have tried no selections, or random selections of the other options, then tap OK. I get "Import Succeeded" and depending on what options had been selected on the previous screen, I will see either 0 or 2 User Defined PIDs. Tap OK again. Back up to the main screen and tap Dashboard, but nothing new! Can someone explain what I am doing wrong?

Are you by chance using an iPhone to run OBDLink? I experienced the same set of events as you using an iPhone and if I'm not mistaken Snakebitten is running his via an Android. That's one of deltas I've tried to work through to determine cause.

Do you think if your truck is NOT a 2022, then perhaps something might not line up right?

I vaguely remember a member messaging me that he finally got import success after changing his truck in the vehicle editor?

@Snakebitten - wish I could say that but my truck and yours are the same, with exception of max tow… Even tried differing versions of your file and all yield the same. Imports 3 PID and no dashboards. Still thinking it’s an IOS Android thing, but certainly one of those instances where I’d love someone to prove me incorrect.

So, sure as I post, get it to work…. Had to select all Import options on Settings to import, then all Dashboard and PID options in next select import option screen, then Manage Dashboards, then hit + sign and select Copy and Link Dashboards and there they are. Select Copy and should be good to go…. Geesh

Edit: I created this post before seeing the #101 above. Lol

That's disappointing.
It's easy enough to map the PIDs I used, but I admit that it is time consuming and tedious effort for most to customize the gauges to that extent.

I think I will attach an import file to this post with ALL options selected. (I've never selected All)

I then copied this stg export file from the cheap Sim-less Samsung Galaxy A13 5G to my primary phone Samsung Galaxy S21

When I went to import the file to OBDLink on the S21, I chose ALL these options

And received this warning:

I got no errors, and ended up with 2 dashboards. (the official one and one I use soley for testing new pids with)

Admittedly this was Android to Android. But I could swear there have been IPhone users who have the dashboard working. I just don't know what obstacles they faced. Maybe I'm wrong about that though.

Here's the file attached as a pdf. (change back to stg)

And here's a link to it as an stg just to see if the smartphone might be corrupting the file with the bogus extension? (I know, I'm reaching)

This file is the first and only one that I have downloaded that actually copied a dashboard to my phone. I have no clue why none of the other files will not. I really wanted to get the dashboard that turbopilot made available, but same issue. It says "success" but no dashboard is there. This is a Samsung S23 Ultra running Android.

Likewise I had big problems importing @Snakebitten's .stg file into IOS as he created it using an Android device. Imports between IOS and Android do not work well.

Thank you for this question, as I just bought an MX+ and didn't know the steps, so I followed your post and Bruce's. I used the original dashboards.stg file on my Pixel 7 and it worked fine (on the last "Select Import Options" step I had none of them selected. I think it said 2 User Defined PIDs and maybe 6? dashboards. I have not bought a car in 20 years so this is all new to me, but I am a retired firmware developer/engineer, so I can follow instructions (usually).

Thanks Bruce and everyone! p.s. is the reason that OBDLink says not to use the MX+ bluetooth model while you are driving, simply an issue of distracted driving, or is the issue that it could it somehow affect the vehicle system itself (communication disruption or whatever???)
