Really Ford? You decided to remove the Pro Power Onboard monitoring function. There isn't much use for this app since you cut the majority of useful functions.

this is typical of every app or operating system in the world, some new guy gets promoted in IT and they think they need to change things “for the better”.

It’s really helping those poor folks in Texas right now. Although they’re probably loving the fresh clean new look.

yes a fresh graduate from pillars of higher education...you know they know everything and the world only exists because of them and dont ask them anything because it hurts their feelings and judges them becasue they suffer from social anxiety
beside we are old, and walked with dinosaurs so we must be dumb

A few very rare Ford responses to angry reviews online indicate "features" will be added to v5 eventually. Only thing that seems definite is adding service records with app. That is only one spelled out directly and not just vague reference.

The FordPass community on Ford website, which is being shutdown end of month, mention a new beta test starting up. That could just be fixing the bugs that are still in current version and not adding anything new. ?‍♂

buddy has a new Hybrid BMW, had tons of electronic issues, and at highway speeds, would lock up brakes from 70mp to zero, radar kept seeing something. These are highways in Socal, LA area...so good way to get smashed in the rearend! Known issue Ive heard. I wouldn't quit say BMW has technology down pat yet.
We mainly bought it for the rear axle bolts

Hi F-150 owners! If you recently updated your FordPass® app, you may have noticed it looks a little different. We are pleased to share that we have rolled out a newly designed app.

It is easy to use and efficient, reducing the number of steps it takes to access functions to help you better manage your vehicle remotely. Also, instead of having to hold down a button to turn the vehicle ‘on’, this is now a simplified slider.

Additionally, if you have an Apple Watch, along with lock/unlock and remote start/stop, you will also be able to use the following features from your wrist:
  • Activate horn and lights remotely
  • View vehicle location
  • View fuel level and range, for gasoline-powered vehicles
  • View fuel level, battery and range, as well as total combined, for hybrid vehicles
We are also continuing to improve in-app experience with this latest version. If you notice a feature you previously used before is no longer there, don’t worry, the feature can still be accessed via your in-vehicle touchscreen.

We love to hear from our owners so let us know what you think and if you have any questions about FordPass!

Many of you had additional questions, so we wanted to provide some supplemental information about the newly designed FordPass app. Some of your exact features may vary depending on your vehicle model.
  • All about service: To reach the service dashboard, click the tool icon on the bottom right of your screen. You will find a vehicle health status list that includes the odometer reading, oil life for gas-powered vehicles, and tire pressure. If you’d like to add your vehicle service history, this can be done via Ford.com.
  • Trip Planning: While there’s no trip planning feature in FordPass right now, you can still use your in-vehicle touchscreen to access this feature. We’re exploring a simpler, more reliable version of this feature for FordPass.
  • Google Maps: To turn your Google Maps consent on or off, go to your Account settings, then Legal & Privacy, then Privacy.
  • Beep Beep: To reach the horn and lights feature, go to the location section right on the front screen.
  • Lock from anywhere: To tell if the vehicle is locked or unlocked, just click on your desired lock/ unlock state. The vehicle will then confirm “locked” or “unlocked” with a green check.
  • Tailgate party: Depending on your vehicle’s capability, Phone As A Key™ Bluetooth controls for the windows, trunk/frunk, and tailgate are found in the "Bluetooth Controls" menu right alongside all your other primary controls.
  • Add a friend: If your Ford vehicle is already connected in FordPass, you can find and manage any new vehicle user access requests by selecting your vehicle in the app, then selecting Vehicle Details. From there, you can approve or deny any new user access requests.

So I have a Samsung Watch. When will those features on the Apple Watch be available on the Samsung Watch?

Also really want the PowerBoost Generator function back ASAP. I have to get out of bed in my trailer and unlock the truck to turn it on. That is not what I had before this "update".

I don't think they really care and/or aren't putting the dev work into updates. "Ford" creates this thread, and afaik, has never replied back since. 472 replies, and 32,721 views later...

Edit: This is a big step backwards. Like almost nothing works for me now - Click, white screen, back to previous screen. Can't check vehicle health, location, or just about anything now.. But hey, locking the doors seemed to work.

I'm sure that will be reflected in Apple store reviews as it is in Google Play when things are broken.

The recent review posts reflect how horrible it is, but overall, it's still at 4.7 stars. And ultimately, if you have a newer Ford, you're probably going to have the app installed anyway, regardless of the level of suckage.

I really don't think they care - I don't think many buy a vehicle based on mobile app support or reviews..

I'm surprised score is still so high. Many on Android have edited old reviews to lower scores. Not sure if Apple supports that.

Ford doesn't seem to care about our complaints. They could easily cross post a statement across the same forums they posted this thread to say something to the online community. Imagine the dealers now having to deal with the masses that are upset about the propower and zone lighting. All the people that never come online to complain. The hurricane season and people that might have not used their app to monitor truck power for a while are pissed I'm sure.

Ever since they updated the app I have not been able to remote start it nor lock and unlock my vehicle. I have been getting regular software updates without being connected to Wi-Fi so i know my connection is good.

As of today it states my truck is moving, yet I am looking out the window at work and it's in the same spot I left it this morning.

The mileage is updated so that part is working.
