The 75th splash

Worked like a charm. Took a few power cycles for the splash screen to start showing up but it's there. Thank you sir!

Interesting thing is I also had to select the menu option -not properly configured (of something like that) at the bottom of the list under the APIM Splash Screen settings for it to show up after changing the AS BUILT coding.

This gives hope! I really need to find the time later today and attempt this on both my 21 and 22.

You may need to be on Sync 4 build 22228 for it to be there. If you're not on that build you will likely need to wait till the OTA hits before the 75th screen will load.

As for the settings updates, I switched mine from the Raptor to #24 after updating the AS BUILT data as well. It then took 3-4 complete boot cycles of the system before it finally updated to show the 75th screen. I only found this out when I switched from the default to the Raptor screen it took that many cycles before it updated. Just a power cycle of the key/button doesn't seem like it's enough. I ended up getting out locking the truck and waiting for the dash to shut down before opening the truck door and hitting the start button.

thanks
i did the open door thing to shut down the screen a few times when i first tried. then i played with setting raptor to make sure my brain was working .
have not had a new ota since the last one a few weeks back. will try again later in week
it also refused to play front camera at any speed as well.
thanks

@Jesse-Infotainment did give me a heads up there’s a chance the 21s won’t have the ability yet but he got it through for the 22s. The 21s can be done but you’d have to send him your module I believe but no more updates; I think he should be the one to clarify on this.

You are correct... It requires v22228 for SYNC (Only available for 22's right now)
If you get 22228 installed on a 21 Module you will lose the ability to get more APIM updates.

Wonder why that is. Hopefully the same doesn't happen with the 22's.

Because 22238 isn’t available for 21 if you were to force it then it derails your updates it’s not being forced on 22

my truck I forced it so my apim reports no software and will now need to be updated manually if an update comes out for 21. Also if you force it you may not be able to install on top of it so that’s why it’s best to wait for the official updates

I don’t because I have apims available to me and tools that I can correct it.

Maybe someone can help me with this too.

Ford Power-Up updates.. I'm on 2.7.4, but I'm seeing threads about 3.x.x. How come I'm so far behind? My truck just updated last week to 2.7.4, actually.

You’re not the only one, I’m a few updates ahead of you but I’ve updated most of them myself on both trucks via FDRS one day then updates kept rolling in after that. The last OTA I ever got was back in July/August I think. If you’re not comfortable going the FDRS route, try asking the dealer to see if they can run a check on your truck at your next service to see if there’s any updates and install them for you.

UPDATE: New 75 year splash screen works perfectly on my personal ‘22 Ford F-150 Lariat. However the update doesn’t do anything on my work take-home ‘21 Ford F-150 XLT; seems like it’s still on Sync Version 22192, which needs to be on 22238. Still waiting on the next OTA update or so to get up-to-date.

From what I can tell, that's fairly cost prohibitive for a DIY'er (blowing $550 on a cable to update my infotainment in my truck might cause a few permanent wounds from my wife LOL). Thank you for the information though!
