I (temporarily) hit 92 mpg on the "This Trip" screen leaving my house on Sunday. I had previously driven it that morning, so it was already warmed up and fully charged. Just rolled for a good mile or two on electric power. As soon as the ICE kicked on when I hit the first hill, it rolled back down to the low-20s like it normally does. Still was fun to see. It was so quick that I didn't get a photo.

Those are very impressive numbers! What are those trucks averaging in general? I believe my 5.0 is averaging around 19 and I don't baby it.

Nothing super official but I think I'm between 23-25 as an average.

My last tank was somewhere in the 22-23 range. So far this tank is up in the 26-27 range (which includes that fluke 92mpg averaged in for one of those miles). We'll see if it stays that high through the entire tank. I've been doing a lot more short trips these days, so I doubt it.

The "distance to empty" meter, which I pay more attention to, can easily climb to 750-800 miles. What I find most fascinating is when I drive 40-50 miles and see that number increase from when I started! On my last fillup (87 octane), I left the gas station with a DTE of 713. I'm now 60-70 miles into the tank, and it's at 733.

Well, yeah, I've done that a number of times, too, when pulling out of gas stations on electric power. But, at least at the stations near me, you have to pull out from the station onto a major road, so the ICE kicks on almost immediately, so that 999.9 drops back to normal pretty quickly.

Yeah, it's short lived for sure. I was recording my drive out of the neighborhood and had to go frame by frame to get that still shot. ?
