After completing a sound-deadening project on my PB I had some leftover CLD material. Grabbed a scrap piece and traced a circle using a can of tuna as a template. Cut out that circle including 4, 1-inch tabs spaced equally around. I centered and applied the material to the backup speaker's protective screen and wrapped the tabs up the side of the speaker cylinder. (material is self-adhesive).
With the truck in reverse but the engine (and anything else) not running I can barely hear the backup warning inside the cab. If the engine or A/C unit or radio are on then I can't hear it at all.
Anyone outside near the truck can hear it easily enough but I'm no longer announcing my presence to the neighbors 5 houses down the street.
