That's for semi synthetic. For 2 to 3 dollars more I can get full synthetic Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. I've always used Motorcraft in my 2004 F150 4.6. 179K and no issues but for the difference in cost I'll go full synthetic for my turbo engines. If it was 5 or 6 bucks more I'd probably go with Motorcraft as there are many who use it and haven't had any engine issues.

I am lazy. I go to my dealer for $74.95 for the works = oil change, tire rotation, and 40-point check (tire tread depth, tire wear, brake pads, all fluids, belts, etc.)

They have been doing a great job on my F150s and my wife's Escapes for years.

‘25 Powerboost, 5,000 mile oil change. I would have done this myself but we were on the road. Besides $110.61 I used ford points which used up 26,594 points that’s like 243 points per dollar. Pretty much not going back to Ford at those prices.

Am I reading this right? They charged you $69.95 for "lube, oil and filter" and then charged you an additional $12.70 for the filter and an additional $27.96 for the oil?

Since most "lube oil and filter" prices include 5qts of oil, I can understand the extra for oil but why did they charge twice for the filter?

At 5K oil & filter along with tire rotation done by myself was $58, add in an air filter at 10K and it was $95. The days of $40 doing it yourself are gone and those wheels are heavy for an old man like me.

The last oil and filter change I did myself, and I do them all myself, was $38.01, but I bought the oil on sale and a case of filters from Amazon.

Just under $30 using Kirkland Synthetic 5w-30 and Ford FL-500S filter. Discount Tire does free rotation and balance after tire purchase.

Ya, Belle tire does the same, but can’t stand making an appointment or showing up and waiting, I can be done with a rotation at home in 30 minutes, same with an oil change.

Discount Tire has me in and out in 30min with a scheduled appointment and they rebalance every time.

The 69.95 was for the tire rotation, a-look around, yadda yadda does not include oil and filter.

The ticket says lube, oil and filter.... Im just going by what it says. Personally, Im not paying $70 for a tire rotation and the yadda yadda.... If thats all you get for the $70, Im going elsewhere.
