You can't make the motor work "more". There's an amp limitation on the BECM with a T class fuse at 150 amps. Furthermore the motor is cooled by transmission fluid that it happily imparts said heat into the trans. As for life the battery -- I'd almost pay to hear ford say they're not replacing the 'poor choice of a battery' for making it do more hybrid'n. Please oh please let them make that statement.

The only drawback to this would be exercising the battery more during summer increases the amount of energy the AC has to send into cooling down the batt. Typically doesn't really show up until you're at the extremes of the temps, but do understand if the AC in the PB seems to randomly just stop cooling, it's likely it's just being diverted to the battery.
I agree with your skepticism, however I still want this

The same ford that can't even configure the hangup button for the steering wheel appropriately?

lol, what's this in reference to? I've always hated how if I use the hang up button on the steering wheel it pulls up the phone menu in the gauge cluster screen. Is that it?

Forscan -- the SOBDMC will provide you torque values and the BECM will report amps and volts to get kW. There's also a torque calc from the trans in the PCM

I'm the one that Beta tested the E-Boost tune before it was released to the public...
...it gives roughly 50% more acceleration/power from a stop over stock..

You can be sure just about any powertrain related failure will not be covered under warranty if they discover the vehicle has been tuned.
This is my concern too.

I understand that several people are very vocal about their Livernois tuned PB’s still being covered under the factory warranty.

With OTA capabilities, Ford is possibly just using these tuned pickups as test mules now. They know exactly what is going on……or Ford is so big that that they don’t give a rat’s ass about a couple people that tune their pickups.

I just know that in the VW world if a car had a tune, that car was branded as “TD1” and pretty much any motor, transmission or turbo issues were not going to be covered be the manufacturer. They didn’t bend on it.

I’d love to find out that Ford is different though, because a little extra oomph along with the MPG’s and better electric only performance would really be nice!

I had Livernois do a "custom" tune for me that I've been running for over a year with no issues.

It is a stock tune, with the the gear skip nonsense removed, and E-Boost.

Is this tune you are referring to an update to the E-Boost they issued before? If so, I need to get mine updated. I don't so much care about an increase in ICE power, etc ... I just want the longer EV times from a stop.

I already have this tune, is it a free upgrade? When can I get it?

What's the combined peak torque of the tune? Stock is already close to the 10R80 rating so I'm curious how far past it this tune goes.

Yup..same one..
When was the last time you hooked your handheld tuner up to your computer?
You should do it at least every 3 months, they are always doing updates and sending them out.
