You can't make the motor work "more". There's an amp limitation on the BECM with a T class fuse at 150 amps. Furthermore the motor is cooled by transmission fluid that it happily imparts said heat into the trans. As for life the battery -- I'd almost pay to hear ford say they're not replacing the 'poor choice of a battery' for making it do more hybrid'n. Please oh please let them make that statement.

The only drawback to this would be exercising the battery more during summer increases the amount of energy the AC has to send into cooling down the batt. Typically doesn't really show up until you're at the extremes of the temps, but do understand if the AC in the PB seems to randomly just stop cooling, it's likely it's just being diverted to the battery.

Well..I've had the Eboost add-on for 1.5 years now...and I haven't had a single issue..
Towing, nitrous, track hits...and I live in south Louisiana..it's hell fire hot here..??

I'm interested if this maintains the factory warranty or can we expect durability to decrease for the entire powertrain.
You can be sure just about any powertrain related failure will not be covered under warranty if they discover the vehicle has been tuned.

More than likely ford will watch the trucks that have this in it for degradation and then take the logic and incorporate it into future PCM behavior if the math checks out.

You mean Ford didn't try this (or something similar) in their R&D of the PowerBoost powertrain and assess that it would not be in their financial interest to offer a factory warranty for this configuration/tune?

The same ford that can't even configure the hangup button for the steering wheel appropriately?

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised to see the logic of this show up where it belongs in the 'ECO' drive mode. They need every little MPG bump they can get.

Or how to properly build a Max Tow axle that doesn't snap bolts...?

It absolutely is...they say it's a 47hp electric motor, which it is, but I'd be willing to bet Ford programmed it to only put out 34 to 38hp..
