I will start and obviously with the format below but basically make a list with the model year, Make/model, engine size, mileage at purchase and when sold, and # of years driven. You can make the list in the order you obtained them. I like pictures so if you have some then please feel free to post them.
  1. 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlas Supreme 4 dr 3.8L V6 70k to 135k and 4 years.
  2. 1989 Pontiac Bonneville LE 30k to 200k and around 7 years.
  3. 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula project car V6 manual transmission, 30k to 40k and around 3.5 years.
  4. 2001 Toyota Tundra SR5 2WD Extended cab, new to 200k and 12 years then got married and needed to get serious ?.
  5. 2001 Volkswagen Jetta (wife's car) new to 105k.
  6. 2009 Kia Rondo 30k to 69k and 3 years maybe.
  7. 2013 Mazda 5 new to 70k and 4 years.
  8. 2013 Mazda CX5 new to 30k and 2 years
  9. 2014 Toyota Sienna LE 24k to 90k and five years.
  10. 2014 Mazda CX5 new to 85k and now my 18 year old daughter drives it now.
  11. 2014 Ford F-150 RCLB 3.7 2WD XL work truck (company truck) new to 229k and still driving it 100 miles per day round trip.
  12. 2022 Kia Telluride EX new to 53k currently and still driving it (wife's car).
  13. 2010 Toyota Corolla LE 194k to 197k and 1 year, was daughters car but I purchased now sold.
  14. 2024 Ford F-150 SuperCab XL 4x4 5.0 V8 4,200 miles to currently 9k and still driving it. Plan to keep it for at least three years, probably 4, and possibly 5, but anything could change.
I have driven for work various trucks for at least 6-months like:
1983 RCLB GMC 3/4 ton pickup with 5.7L V8 2WD.
1990 RCLB GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 plow truck with 5.7 and 4-speed manual transmission.
1993 RCLB Chevy W/T 1500 2WD 4.3-liter V6 (was a sleeper actually ?).
1996 RCLB Chevy W/T 1500 2WD 4.3-liter V6 (was a slow POS).
1999 RCLB Ram 1500 5.9 liter V8 4x4.
Various other Chevy pickup trucks with the 5.7, 4.8, or 5.3 V8 engines. Cant remember the exact make, model, and years.

I keep my vehicles for a long time usually so it's not a very long list unless I include my wife's cars.

1. 1988 F150 XLT Lariat 2wd RCLB. I-6, 4-speed manual. My dad's retired work truck, was beat to hell and had 230k miles when I got it. I didn't care, I was a teenager and had my own vehicle now! Got lots of young driver stupidity out of my system with that truck. Also learned a lot about working on cars. Drove from 2002-2009. Traded in under cash for clunkers with 297k miles and several mechanical issues.

2. 1994 Mustang Cobra 5.0, 5-speed. My dad bought this car new in 1994 and I acquired it from him the year before he passed. I used to autox with it and want to look into starting that up again at some point. Minor mods but still figuring out my long term plans with that. Owned 2007-present

Ford F-150 List what vehicles you’ve had FB_IMG_1525210640532

3. 2009 F150 XLT SuperCab 5.5' bed, 2wd, 3v 4.6. Somewhat of a unicorn with the SCab short bed config. 1st new vehicle, owned from 2009-2011. Can't remember the milage but probably around 15k when I traded it.

Ford F-150 List what vehicles you’ve had fb_img_1736021431165-jpg-

4. 2011 F150 XLT SuperCab 6.5' bed, 2wd, 3.5L Ecoboost. Bought new in 2011 and drove it until I sold it after buying my current truck. Never gave me any serious issues during the time I owned it. Never touched the engine, mostly interior and body-related stuff that I was able to fix myself. This was a great truck overall and the most reliable vehicle I have owned so far. Owned 2011-2025, 94k miles

5. 2024 F150 XLT (see a pattern here?) SuperCrew, 5.5' bed, 4wd, PowerBoost hybrid. Had been considering a Lightning for a few years prior but COVID price increases and some other things steered me away. Bought new in Oct 2024 from a dealer 3 hours away because they had the only truck in the entire state of FL configured the way I wanted, which wasn't anything special but there was a shortage of Antimatter Blue trucks at the time.

1985 2.8L V6 4x4 Jeep 2dr Cherokee (first car...year before the 4.0)
1993 5.0L V8 Ford Thunderbird (built like a tank, rode like a cadillac)
2004.5 1.8T Manual Volkswagen GLI (first car i bought LOVED THIS CAR never should have traded it)
2007 2.0T Manual Volkswagen GLI (fully tuned and was a show car. hit a deer and traded it)
1991 2.0L Manual Volkswagen GTI (most fun car to drive. had it a couple years before selling it. i regret this big time!)
2009 2.0T Manual Volkswagen CC (nice car but turned out not my cup of tea car wise)
2013.5 2.0T Manual Volkswagen GLI (awesome car! left it stock and eventually traded it for first F150)
1998 2.5L Manual Ford Ranger (needed a "truck" and a daily to keep miles of the VW)
2017 3.5L Eco 4x4 F150 SCrew 5.5' (First real truck traded it for Honda below when my commute doubled)
2018 1.5T Manual Honda Accord Sport (rather enjoyed this car. traded it for another F150 haha)
2020 2.7L Eco 4x4 Ford F150 Screw 5.5' (Traded after a year for no reason. just wanted an audi, which gave me more than i owed for the truck and $7000 off sticker on a new A4)
2021 2.0T Quattro DSG Audi A4 (I loved this car!!! family hated it...but i loved it! traded it in for current F150)
2022 3.5L Eco 4x4 Ford F150 Screw 6.5' (currently love and own...just wish it was rapid red)
1991 3.0 "Yamaha" V6 Ford Taurus SHO Manual (project car that runs and drives)
2015 2.0T TDI DSG Volkswagen Passat (piling up miles on the truck which gets 16-18mpg...the VW gets 40+mpg to and from work)

2024 2.0T Volkswagen Atlas (Wifes car)

I will join too! And I did had very bad luck on first few cars in the past.

1) 1999 Toyota Corolla (2013-2014) My dad’s car given down to me. Had it for few months until timing chain snapped around 230k+ miles??

2) 2007 Honda Civic Couple (2014 and 60k miles)………had it for five days until I got into an accident

3) 2003 Jeep Liberty (2014 and 110k+ miles) POS and was out of commission for the whole winter while fighting with the extended warranty to push for new engine bc first engine locks up. Ended up selling it as the lost.

4) 2007 Honda Civic Sedan (2014 to 2018) Became so broke after selling the jeep and my dad felt bad for me that he gave me his civic to me. He gave me around 60k and clocked in 200k miles later)
Ford F-150 List what vehicles you’ve had IMG_2060

5) 2014 Ford Fusion (2018 to 2025) Picked up around 30k miles and clocked in to 110k miles. Then more issues started happening and draining my wallet faster. Ended up traded it in for new truck.
Ford F-150 List what vehicles you’ve had IMG_7552

6) 1990 Mercedes Benz 300SEL (2014 to 2023) I believe it was around 100k miles on it? I picked up as the project car but ended up selling it bc of the lack of attention and time I haven’t been giving to Mercedes.

7) 2024 Ford F150 XLT as my currently daily ❤

Wow, this is a great start to this thread. I was wondering if people would post anything because it is a little bit of work to put that together.

@Goldeneye36 I love the old trucks and the Mustang too. Antimatter Blue is my favorite color. Wish mine was Antimatter Blue.
@crazywayne311 Great story and love manual transmission cars.
@YJay90 Love the jeep. My buddy at work has almost the exact same jeep with 2.5 and manual transmission. I had that exact same truck for a rental while my Tundra was being worked on and I was surprised at how good it was and it was my first experience with a Ford truck.
@TheDudeee Interesting mix of vehicles there and love the new truck.

Great start so far and good stories. Keep them coming!

retired!
It's a 57-year history with no chance that I can remember all the details or even all the vehicles (I swapped a lot in the early years, many of those cars were projects or 'beaters')
  • '58 VW Microbus with ALL the windows and a big rubberized sunroof (memorable first-bought vehicle)
  • '65 Dodge Van (225 slant-six)
  • '69 Sunbeam Alpine GT (not to be confused with the well-known convertible)
  • '61 MGA (while in the Army stationed on Oahu, HI)
  • '69 Triumph GT6+ (track-only gymkhana car while in the Army stationed on Oahu, HI)
  • '62 MGA
  • '69 MGB
  • '70 MGB
  • '72 (?) Mercury Monterrey
  • early '70s (?) Corolla
  • '69 VW bug automatic stick-shift
  • '79 Fiat 131 4-door (first car bought new, hit and totaled 10-months after purchase )
  • '80 Chevrolet Citation 4-door hatchback V6 (memorable because this low-slung front-wheel-drive car was one of only 3 among 11 vehicles (mostly 4-wheel drive pickups) which did not get stuck on a muddy-road trek to the extremely remote Capote Falls (highest waterfall in Texas, on private property). My camping friends were amazed, crowned it a 'Champ', and never gave me crap about that admittedly funky-looking car again! ?
  • '86 (?) Chevrolet C10 (my last GM product)
  • '85 Ford ranger extended cab V6 2WD (now married into horses and living in the country)
  • '93 F250 Supercab 2WD gas V8
  • '93 Mustang convertible (daily driver, ex-Hertz rental)
  • '95 F350 CrewCab 2WD dually Powerstroke (for towing a 2-horse + living quarters all-steel gooseneck trailer)
  • '03 F150 SuperCab 2WD gas V8 (now divorced from horses & F350 but still living on the land in the country)
  • '05 2005 F150 (bought new, still-owned, described in my signature block below)
  • '14 Ford Escape SE (bought new, daily driver replaced the Mustang, nice car)
  • '19 Honda Ridgeline AWD RTL-E (bought new, daily driver replaced the Escape; a fantastic vehicle, hated to let it go; sold to a Chevy dealer in 2022 during covid shortages, this is the only vehicle I sold for more than I paid to own it including TT&L, loan interest, and two years of comprehensive insurance!)
  • '22 F150 Lariat special order described in my signature block below
Interspersed among the above were dozens of motorcycles (and periods where my only transportation was on 2-wheels).

It's been almost 60 years of automotive fun now, no real regrets in retrospect either buying or selling, I can't say there's was a lemon in the whole lot. For sure there's been no shortage of great driving adventures and memories, life and karma have been good!

I see you were a glutton for punishment! 5 English vehicles, you must have been on good terms with the Prince of Darkness, AKA Lucas Electrics. I owned a Jag XKE, loved the car, hated the electrics.

52 years of driving and buying pleasure, or not, depending on the vehicle.
1. 74 Vw rabbit, beat the living daylights out of that car.
2. 69 Jaguar XKE. If it wasn't puking oil onto someone's driveway, it was smoking the electrics.
3. 73 Chevy K-5 Blazer. You couldn't kill the drivetrain, but the body was ready to leave the frame at a moments notice. So many rust holes the heater couldn't keep up in the winter . Give it half a chance under hard braking on a slippery surface, would swap ends faster than a speeding bullet.
4. 1980 Saab 900 EMS. Loved that car, go anywhere, haul anything. I was a Volunteer EMT when I had this car, it was excellent in bad weather.
5. !986 Saab 900. Bought it when I got married.
6. 1994 Pontiac Bonneville. Big, comfortable, 4 door sedan.
7. 1997 Dodge Ram 1500, extended cab, long bed. Eat 4wd joints in the front axle, grease, no grease, didn't matter, 20,000 miles and it was ready for new ones. Transmission torque converter left the chat at 60,000 miles. Traded the truck.
8. 2003 Volvo v60 T5. Major Electrical issues, traded before warranty expired.
9. 2006 Volvo V60R. What a pocket rocket, would eat Wrx's for breakfast and Evo's for lunch. Perfect sleeper car.
9. Volvo Xc70. I kept this car the longest, 107,000 miles, 11 years . I loved that car, sorry to see it go. All 3 Volvo's were wagons in case you are not familiar with their cars. So much cooler and just as versatile as a minivan.
10. 2021 F-150 platinum, 3.5, screw, 157 wb. My current ride, absolutely love my truck.
Almost forgot, 1983 Chevy 1500, 250 six, three on the tree, 2wd, and my 1988 f-250, single cab, long bed, 4x4, 351 Windsor EfI. Go anywhere, haul anything, load the bed with 2 ton of gravel, barely squat the rear onto the helper springs, truck never protested. Had a voracious appetite for gas however ,worst was 7 mpg, best around 10. That sucker was truly Built Ford Tough.
Don't get me started on the numerous motorcycles, snowmobiles and atv's I have had.

Lol, that list doesn't include the half-dozen BSA, Norton, and Triumph bikes that were also blessed with Lucas electrics. Sure, I had some electrical glitches with those less-than-pristine examples, but I never suffered a loss of the magic smoke with any of them.

Good karma, I guess! (y) :)

1988 Honda Accord. First car when I was 16

1991 Acura Integra GS. Was big into imports back in the day, this one had intake, header, and exhaust. It was a pretty fun car to drive.

1999 Honda Civic Si. Got carried away with this one in the early 2000s, ended up turbocharging the car. After a few engines it ended up making over 400 to the wheels and running bottom 11s in the 1/4. Pretty fast for 2002

2001 Acura Integra GSR. After having a turbocharged Honda, I built a pretty stout all motor setup. Ended up dropping a valve into the engine and destroyed everything. Put a cheap junkyard motor in it and sold it.

2003 Mitsubishi EVO 8. Full bolt ons, very fun car. Ran consistent 12.0 in the 1/4.

1994 Ford Ranger. Picked this up to keep miles off of my cars. Sold this one when I bought the Tundra below.

2006 Pontiac GTO. Full bolt on plus cam. Another fun street car.

2007 Toyota Tundra. Attempted to get out of modding cars, ended up selling it after a year.

2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Full boltons, daily driver. Miss this one!

2010 F150 FX4. Hung onto this one for about 8 years. Even with the 5.4 it was a great truck.

2004 Mustang SVT Cobra. 2.3 TVS blower, went 10.70s@132

1999 Honda Civic EX. Beater daily driver

2011 Honda Civic LX. Four-door beater to replace the two-door coupe.... had two kids

2013 Mustang GT. Tried to get out of modding cars so I bought this to cruise around in. Got carried away, again. This was by far the perfect build. Ended up swapping engines and supercharging it. Car put down 850 to the wheels and ran a best of 9.1@152. Kids started getting older and involved in sports and activities, so I sold it to spend more time with them.

2017 F150 XLT. Whike I had it this was a good truck, but I'm sure the phasers have been replaced since then.

2022 RAM 2500 Laramie Cummins. Daughter was pretty big into Motocross racing. We had plans to buy a big toy hauler so I bought a diesel. We ended up settling for a smaller trailer and I didn't need the diesel after all, LOL.

2024 F150 XLT. Was not using the diesel nearly enough, half ton Gasser was a better fit, daughter still rides dirtbikes but is definitely more involved in competitive softball now than motorcycles. F-150 is the perfect softball taxi and tows our motorcycle trailer perfect.

2020 Shelby GT350. Don't have this one yet as we're currently building our dream home out on some acreage. House will be done in June, Shelby will follow soon after.

Oh boy, 45 years of owning cars. My dad was a huge car fanatic, raced cars on both road courses and at the dragstrip. Got me into a lifelong love affair with cars.
My list from what I can remember.

1969 Renault R16, giving to me from my grandfather when I was in high school, 4 on the tree, simply an amazing car, road like aCadillac, I took it places that 4 x 4's were getting stuck.
1974 Vega, my mom gave it to me, I updated it with a Chevy 327, turbo350, 10 bolt posi rear, big buy of Don Hardy products on that.
1972 Challenger, 340 6 pack, turned it into a show car, tilt front end, 1000's in chrome.
1979 Dodge Boogie Van, had lots of good party times in that, if you know what I mean.
1985 F-150, Heavy 1/2, 300 inline 6 with 4 speed. Bulletproof truck. 1st vehicle I bought new from a dealer.
1987 Buick Grand National, my buddy and I bought 2 from a local dealer, sight unseen. nice car, typical shitty mid 80's quality.
1987 Buick GNX, traded in the Grand National when I saw this at a dealer.
1989 Ford Taurus Wagon, needed a hauler car for work.
1980 MGB, saw this a friend had in Vancouver, only had 10,000km on it, got it for an amazing price. Fun car.
1991 Dodge Sprit RT, as it was the fastes 0-60 car then, another fun car, new from dealer
1992 Honda Civic SI, fun car, way to small for me.
1996 Dodge Caravan, getting into dad mode..... new from dealer
2004 Ford Freestar, still in Dad mode, new from dealer
2013 F-150 FX4, new from dealer, kids now and bought trailer for camping as I was sick of tenting with kids.
Ands last of all, 2021 F150 Lariat 502A, had everything I wanted if I was going to order from Ford, but it was black, and Covid, dealer only had 3 new trucks on lot, when they could park 100.
