Get a faraday bag to keep your keyfobs in when theyre inside your home. It will prevent any outside signal readers from connecting
This ⬆ I do this at home and we're in a pretty low-crime area. (2nd fob has a piece of plastic preventing battery contact). I will not travel without the bag.

I have covered the VIN which is visible from the windshield. Did that after watching a video of two thieves stealing a vehicle using the VIN and PTS fob signal. Not hard to get the VIN online via license #, but why make it any easier for the low-lifes.

Starter relays, located in the fuse box, are not expensive, can be removed easily and hidden somewhere else in the truck. I have two spares plus the original.

On many new vehicles the key fob "falls asleep " when left stationary on a table, and "wakes" on motion, picking it up from the table. This prevents a signal scanner from obtaining a signal from it that can be passed through to the vehicle. GM has added this technology to there key fobs in 23, and I'm not certain as to whether or not Ford key fobs have this technology. If they don't the only option is to leave your fob in a mylar bag or metal box at night.
This reminds me that I tried putting fob in an aluminum box with a tight lid and when I walked up to truck it still "saw" the key? How?

I’ve been rockin a cheap Amazon faraday box for home and pouch for my pocket since day 1. The pouches seems to wear out pretty quickly and leak signal. The box mostly worked well until recently. It’s leaking signal as well.

So, don’t get too confident in the Amazon solutions.

I still don’t know why ford doesn’t have a low tech solution. A simple switch to disconnect the battery on the key fob is all it would take.

They already have something better - a motion sensing key that turns off when it's not moved. I'm not sure if it'll be on the 2024 F150, but it's certainly not on the 2023 and prior F150s despite being on other less popular models.

Ford is selling this: https://www.ford.ca/support/how-tos...ed-features/what-are-stolen-vehicle-services/

Unfortunately, that all relies on the TCU which is easily accessed disabled.

I’ve heard of those in other countries. I’d rather have a physical switch because the key moves in my pocket.

Are you being serious?
You would have to use a metal key to unlock each time?
Put Fob in cup holder area.
Its a huge problem in Canada

In my experience (I work for the good guys ;), Most vehicles thefts are taken from home when in driveways, as criminals have time to drive around and figure out where their target vehicles live, then come back in the early morning hours and take them. But yes, anything is possible! It's a bad time to be a TRX or hellcat owner.
I run A electronics shop at a large FORD dealer .as to the hellcat &srt stelantis cars and trucks .we sell compustar pro t-13 with optional .harness that kills start stop button when armed or tripped .factory fob will not allow car or truck to start .it also has a 3 mile range remote .and cell phone control .

My business also installs the Compustar systems and they use a Push button start disable harness that requires the owner to have a Compustar alarm remote or a Wallet type coded device with them, otherwise the vehicle wont start even if you/they have the OEM car fob (or a thieves clone copy of one).
