Has anyone started carrying a 120v Booster cable instead of traditional jumper cables in their truck? Seems like if you had dead battery you could just boost off of the hybrid pack.

This would work right? Has anyone been in a situation where they have tried this out?

As is my understanding the Hybrid system charges the 12v. So in order to kill the 12v you would also have to kill the whole 1.5kwh hybrid battery, which I don't think the truck will allow you to do.

Truck needs to be running (ready mode) for ProPower to go into generator mode. If you have a dead 12V battery, would the truck be able to go into ready/on/start mode?

Interesting thought but if the 12v battery is dead preventing the engine from starting the ProPower won't allow you to enable generator mode.

I have carried one of these mini jumper boxes with me for years and has come in handy several times when batteries have unexpectedly failed. Unlike the lithium battery jumper packs this one is a super capacitor. It will charge the internal caps allowing you to jump start the engine even if the 12v battery is as low as 7 volts in about 3 minutes. It's powerful too as it provides 800CCA of power. I love this thing because you never have to keep it charged like traditional jumper packs. Even a small solar panel charger would do in a pinch to charge it.

This is true. It was just a quick though off the top of my head. I wonder if there is still juice left in the hybrid battery when the 12v system is dead, or if it just below a certain voltage threshold and the software/hardware wont allow access to it for fear of damaging the battery? I am curious if ford could implement an over the where software update where the 12v system could access emergency levels of voltage left in the hybrid system ( assuming there is still some left) to perform an emergency start.

After doing some reading I was baffled that even while packing a large battery pack around, people are getting stranded with a dead 12v battery.

Truck needs to be running (ready mode) for ProPower to go into generator mode. If you have a dead 12V battery, would the truck be able to go into ready/on/start mode?

If your 12V main battery is dead, you will not be able to jump start the truck. You simply have no means to enable 110v/inverter.
Tiny lithium jump starter did not help with my PB (when I connected to the battery, it started screaming as if I am trying to murder it), hence I bought a big ass Noco that is meant to jump start tank engines, but thanks God haven't used it so far.
