Powerboost and they are fun to drive.
Ford made a lot of changes to the Powerboost this year, over 300. They are smoother than last year’s model. The only way I know when the engine is running is to look at the tach. Gone are rough shifts. The 2.7 might be a good choice for you. I’ve had two of them. The 2.7 is a great engine.

Having FDRS and updating the trucks help out a lot. Some of us have had the new software all along and didn't have to worry about waiting on updates or getting stuck in update purgatory!

I don’t have rough shifts with my 23 PB ever, and I always get above 22 mpg, and as high as 37mpg. Running the AC for 15 mins at a time in traffic without the ICE engine running is better than I could have imagined.
