I understand it’s a new feature, and that it’s a beta release. But it worked great Thursday evening and all day Friday. Then this morning there was an update and now it only works if you set the cruise faster than 80mph every time you turn on the cruise.
If I’m in a 45 mph zone, trucks doing north of 60 before I get the cruise up to 80 and back down again. And if I have to hit the brakes, I have to do it again.

I’m assuming that’s a bug and I’m just reporting it.

unless there’s another place I should be reporting bugs??

best pic I can get at night
it’s not a bug we can fix. It needs to be reported to SunnyPilot;

check to see if your model reset back to Tomb Raider, your symptoms sound a lot like it could have.
So I was finally able to check and yes it was reset back to Tomb Raider. What model should I change it to?

Okay, why do you run WD40? I thought FoF Liquid Crystal was the one that worked best with BluePilot.

FoF is the best mix of lateral and long. I only use Ford ACC, and I feel like WD40 has the best lateral.

@Ajzride on 5.0 and FoF, it appears to be consistently favoring the inside of moderate turns at 60mph. Enough that it rides on or crosses lane markings. Is there any tuning to account for this or is it inherent to the model?

ive Never noticed it, but enabling Advanced lane positioning would turn on the path_angle signal which is used to try and achieve 0 offset from the ideal path center. The Low Curvature PID gain adjust how aggressive that adjustment is.

I went with liquid crystal. It seems better so far so thanks again for the help.

Is there a list of all the different models that explains what they do? Or is there an FAQ that explains all the user-changeable options on BP? There so much stuff and I understand very little of it.

Again, appreciate the help!

The models come directly from the comma, with no change logs or documentation. You are expected to blindly trust that anything released is superior to what was before it.

For the BluePilot features:

I've been running 5-beta since last week, and so far it seems much better than the 4 that was giving me trouble with cutting over the left line on long sweeping left turns. 4 also had mild ping pong for me, which disappeared with 5. I don't recall which model 4 was using, but it was the default, as I could never get 4 to update / change the model. At one point I did change my in lane positioning in 4 to stay a bit farther off the left edge of the lane, which helped some, but it would still occasionally cut corners at highway speeds

My 5-beta is set at default settings, no settings changed. The only minor issue I've noticed is it seems to give a bit less steering torque than previous models (I have two corners that previous versions would complete with some warnings, but the new 5 seems to give up a bit earlier)

There were no changes to the BluePilot lateral logic between 4 and 5. The only two differences are:

A) You changed models
B) Commas new safety code (this is what is limiting the torque more than before).

The new safety code also causes a lot more "steering unavailable" occurrences during human turns.

The settings for "unified engagement mode" and other MADS related settings which are currently locked out in BP-5.0 should be fixed in the next release.

If I’m updating from 2.1 should I do a clean wipe and install or just updated?

Will I be able to return your 2.1 if don’t like 5.0?
