This is how it is designed to work. As soon as you turn on cruise, the lateral controls engage (with unified mode on).

So is your problem that you can't turn MADS off?

Yes, I was disabling the " Unified Engagement mode ". But now its greyed out with " MADS limited brand is not allowed "

The part with the Red button only wasnt really a problem. Just was trying to understand what was going on with the cruise and lateral controls off.

I used to not understand why everyone loved MADS so much. But once I learned to leverage it, I couldn't imagine wanting to turn it off.

But for now, Anthony has been making a lot of updates this morning to try to clean up vehicle selection. Wait until this afternoon and make sure you have all the updates and see if you can get it turned off.

Remember the vehicle has to be completely off (not even accessory mode) to be able to change the MADS settings.

Thank you. I appreciate your time.

I'm on 2.1 but it's time to jump up. The highest upgrade I see in downloads in 4.0. I continually see update available on 2.1, but it always fails. Do I need to upgrade to 4 first or just uninstall and go directly to a URL for 5.0-beta? Thanks.

For a jump from 2.1 I would do an uninstall and reinstall with the URL.

Anthony is working on the updater, 5.0 should be back in the list soon. The URL is below, but it won't work until Anthony is finished with the update

installer.comma.ai/BluePilotDev/bp-5.0-beta

Finally made the jump from 2.1 which I was very happy with on WD40 and North Dakota models. 5.0 and Liquid Crystal is quite a leap forward. Very impressed.

I need to do more driving but it feels like on 5.0 the following distances have increased, while on Ford ACC. Is that possible?

It's seems to be running very smoothly out of the box without any advance lateral tuning. Are folks finding that they still need to use those?

In the Vehicle settings, does it matter if I choose the F150 in the Bluepilot selection vs the F150 hybrid in the next selection/search function?

If you are using Ford ACC, then no. It's just a placebo.

It is now branded "Advanced Lane Positioning" because it is only used if you want to adjust your bias in the lane left or right. If you are happy with the middle that the device chooses then leave it off.

No. F150 is in both menus. There are some community-only vehicles (Like Ford Edge) that are only in the bluepilot menu, so we put both menus on the screen.

Update: Installed 5.0 without any problems, but on my test drive to calibrate, I noticed that pressing the brake pedal no longer disengages BP; no chimes or lights toggled off either. Have to disengage from steering wheel. It was working on 2.1. I'm using all default settings. 2022 F-150 PB. Fingerprint shows my auto selection in green.

Did I miss something?

I remember seeing an option to disengage when pressing brake. You prolly need to turn that option on.

Hello. I'm new here and not sure if this has been covered before.

I've been running BluePilot on my Comma for a number of months now. It was running perfectly and then I brought it in to Ford to have some servicing done and since then it's been pretty bad. The ping ponging any time my speed is under about 45mph is insane. In stop and go traffic it's basically unusable. Today while driving in stop and go I got a "turn is too sharp" warning on a straight section of the road. There was no turn. It just starts ping ponging and increases in amplitude until I force it to stop by taking control. At some point someone is going to think I'm driving drunk. Once I'm at speed it runs perfectly. No ping ponging at all.

Not to mention any time the vehicle comes to stop with BP on it is incredibly rough. It stops very agressively. Not smooth at all.

This happens with experimental mode on or off. I'm running BP 4.0. I have a 2022 F-150 Lightning Lariat.

I'm at a loss and would really appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance!

check to see if your model reset back to Tomb Raider, your symptoms sound a lot like it could have.
