Yes, but I have no idea how far to move it to make a noticable difference. I've been scheming a way to test such a thing.
You are using your 3d printed slide mount right?

What is the distance from the top of your mount to the bottom of your mirror?

You have to go all the way back to New Deli to get the lanefull/laneless option back (which would also allow for custom software offsets). That model is almost a year old at this point. LAv2 came out in February.
That could be it actually. I played around with quite a few of them in the spring time, driving to see the eclipse. So it had to be prior to DA at a minimum

I can tell you I tend to get less hugging on the right with Duck Amigo than any others. North Dakota next

1 inch. But my top is cut off just slightly by the rearview mirror. I would probably do 1.25" or 1.5" if I redid it.

I’m at at about 1 1/4 - 3/8 down from the mirror mount itself. Using your slide mount with the small angle.

would it be easier to incorporate some form of a pivot point than a sliding base? (I would worry that when I pull the comma off it would move to the left and all the way right when it was put back on)

Unless there was some sort of slide lock.. on the rail.. with a threaded rod at 8 tpi and a partial threaded insert akin to the INCRA LS fences and how they work except not super adjustable on the fly easily

Also with the sliding base, I notice my comma shakes a lot and has a large amount of wiggle to the mount for it.. I assume I just need to put a shim or two in there to stead it more

My vision was a threaded rod to adjust position, so it held in place between trips.

I the wiggle between the device and the mount, or between the mount and the dock?

AJ have you had revisions to your mount? Yours is squared but mine is rounded?

What material did you print with and on what printer?

Mines almost too tight. Asa and a Bambu x1 on standard settings

between the device and the mount is where mine wiggles and has a good amount of play.. I have the cable currently pinched there and zip tied tight along the front to try to remove as much wiggle as possible

Yes there is a new version out on Thingiverse. I just squared it off to make it easier to print. Mine is ASA on a Bambu P1S.

Has it always been that way? If I made yours it is printed with ABS, which shouldn't be warping. If it has always been lose, then perhaps I cleaned up the print too much and I can send you a new one. Or you could try to use a piece of a playing card as a shim.

So if you have the same file for both prints the shrinkage with asa vs abs could explain the wiggle.

The file was designed around ABS (file was adopted from Comma)

I think it has been this way, definitely this way for a few months now but it has still been steady enough that it hasn't taken a priority for me. Ill try the playing cards to see if that shims it out enough to be solid tight, thanks for the idea!

If anyone is interested, there is now a Comma3x clone on the market. The Springer A1 is pretty much identical and runs the same software. The only real way to tell them apart is that the USB port is on the side. Springer A1 sells for $899.

Mine came in today and bp-staging loaded and ran right out of the box. Springer doesn't have Ford harnesses yet, those still need to be bought from Comma.
