I mean, it's two numerical digits. Is it really that difficult to type 48, or 31, or 23 or 11?

It sucks, but that's just part of it. I was going on 4 years of keeping mine immaculate, until a few weeks ago I finally brainfarted and forgot about my grocery basket after I had put everything in the truck, and as I was backing up, I turned and clipped it and put a nice scratch in the fender.

My last truck, I had had it for less than a month, and I backed into a low sitting bollard and dented it juuust enough that the plastic step on the bumper bulged up slightly.

People make mistakes, as long as he's willing to pay for it, I'd just let it go. At least it was low speed and you don't have to worry about anything else coming up because of it down the road.

I don't have the patience to read through the responses......but I did manage to see that the OP needs to take a step back and realize that material things shouldn't always be the focus. That damage was so minor that you probably had to take two or three close looks to even see it. I'm sure there was more than one person in your family that rolled their eyes about making a trip outside to see that "damage".

There are always other places to park. It just depends on your willingness to walk. Where do you park when you go to Walmart or other public places where someone could be careless with door? I always look for the corner spot with stand off room whether I'm in a parking garage or parking lot. I try to make it hard for someone else to park close to me and my 2021 doesn't have any door dings since I had some repairs done.

It's been a while since he responded to me, or us, so maybe he actually moved on?

The last however many posts, I just wanted to know how old the guy was. I think it would shed a great deal of light on his mindset.

I sure hope he wasn't actually born in 1977......that would mean he is nearly 50 years old. Definitely old enough to know better than to nit pick the parking skills of a family member who has other difficulties besides driving. It really doesn't matter how old he is, but it does tell me a lot about his previous life experience and what he would consider a hardship.


I wonder if anonymASS1977 busted in the house after seeing the "damage" and made a scene that prompted everyone to make their way outside.
