Notice from Jesse that TSBs don't expire. Add this to dealership drama.

My driver side vent closest to the door is non existent unless I have it on full blast then I can feel it.
Is this pretty much all gen14? Mine is the same. Driver side vent is weak unless on max.

Just spoke with another dealer about the TSB 22-2089 and they confirmed that it stated "Outdated/No longer available". Hmmmmm......

I have had similar issues, but it has only happened a couple times inconsistently. Have a '21 Lariat 502A hybrid. Took in to the dealer, but got the "found nothing wrong" response.

I did manage to capture a video of this the last time it happened. As noted in earlier posts, there is a lot of blower noise somewhere inside the dash, but no air flow at all, even on fan 7. Changing the vent forward/low/defrost settings doesn't help.

In all cases so far, it seems to go away after 15-30 minutes. However, that can be pretty annoying on a hot day to not have options beyond trying to roll down windows during that time. Not sure what triggers it resolving, but so far I have just tried to try settings again periodically and eventually it works.

If I had to guess, it seems like there is a software glitch for an internal damper valve not allowing air to feed the blower. For those of you reporting the evaporator sensor issues, does this description align with what you see, or is that a separate issue?

Thanks!

Yep. No complaints at all on temp or air flow besides this one vent!
Interesting thing I found out yesterday. I closed the vents to the rear on the console and surprise surprise the driver's side vent started blowing as hard as the center dash on every speed setting. I figured the rear seat vents were diverting some of the airflow but not so much as to render the driver's vent practically useless on anything lower than 5 when open.

Maybe the duct routing is just a bad design so that most air flow to the back pulls away from the driver's vent? Should be set up to pull air equally (or close to it at least).

That was my thought, and what led me to testing it.

If that's the case I guess I'll just have to deal with it for the next 20 years or so lol (they will prob delete AC for 2024 anyways lol)

Taking my truck in tomorrow (dreading it) for a few things. Pre collision warning not available, no cruise control, passenger window only rolls half-way up and this air conditioner issue. Any words of wisdom for me to tell the service dept. regarding the AC randomly blowing low volume or warm air if the bulletin doesn't work for them? Seems to happen to me on longer drives of 3+ hrs.

Good morning, Can you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are working with? I would like to see what I can do to assist with your F-150 concerns.

I had the same issue here in Fl. It’s freezing the line. I had to take the truck in when it was doing it. They ordered the part and replaced it for me. It took me 4 months to get it fixed bc they had to see the issue happening even though they knew what the issue was. Finally got mine fixed.
