For the AC, my dealer said they have to replicate the issue. And also, the TSB somehow wasn't applicable to my car. We shall see next summer when we use the air in the heat again. I digress, back to the whistle issue.
Anyone figure this out yet? Just checking. I also purchased a Lightning like @amatofilms. But am keeping both trucks. Would like to get this figured out and have the dealer take care of it. I am waiting to take mine in until next summer when it's hot and they can fix my air conditioner...
@jmh686 From what I read there, @Bigpb21 had it replaced with another OEM one. Not specifically replacing it with the GFB valve that @Porpoise Hork mentioned. Maybe there is something inherently wrong with the OEM one and the GFB one handles it better and doesn't create the whistle.
My 21 PB also has the same issue. Has anyone tried changing out the diverter valve to a GFB one? I know some say the noise happens in electric mode as well. But maybe this will help a lot. I may just try it. Can someone help with the correct part number for the PB?
I think @Snakebitten pointed out that on one of his three PBs, after he reset the tables he drove it in sport mode to remove the hybrid system while moving (still auto stops). Maybe give that a try for a couple hundred miles on the next reset if this one doesn’t work.
I bring my truck back to the dealer tomorrow to finish the updates that they couldn’t finish last week. They specifically said the APIM. But this just happened in the last 5 minutes.
There may be hope after all. My truck has been at the dealer since Monday trying to get the update. They told me it would take a day and a half. So, figure 2 full days. With the help of @Jesse-Infotainment @rugedraw @ENG430 they looked up some things to show that the dealer was not...
Took my F150 PB in today regarding the air conditioning issues. Told them about TSB 22-2089. They told me it was expired. Does anyone know of a new TSB?
Just saying that both side bolts sheered off and had both axles replaced. Just wondering if possibly the replacement of the axle also had a different bolt applied.
Do we know if this is going to be a problem if we have the axles replaced? I have had both side replaced. Do you think I will be good, or should I be trading in the truck?
