Looks like once in a while both separators have to be removed to empty them out by disconnecting he hoses and removing the separators! The left unit is also not that easy to get to. Why couldn't they just design a separator similar to J&L where you can unscrew the container part?
The Ford Performance canisters or modules,
are a clam shell design, retained with screws. The screws are remove and the module is separated. The lower half collects the oil and contaminant residue. It is dumped then reassembled.

The goal is cost savings for reduced frequency of walnut blasting the intake ports. The goal on a catch can in a Gen 2 ecoboost is pushing walnut blastint intervals out to 125-150k miles, which means that by the time the second blast is required the engine is likely nearing a rebuild or the vehicle is getting replaced. If no catch can means 100k intervals, then you are looking at an extra walnut blast before the whole engine needs rebuilt.

So there's an argument that this is all cost savings, and then only exclusively for vehicles that will be kept for a LONG time. $750 eats into the cost savings quite a bit, whereas $160 is pretty easy to justify if it saves you one $800-1000 walnut blast.

Walnut blasting the 3.5 Ecoboost isn't something I have seen even come close to mainstream. It barely qualifies as niche.

It DOES get discussed often enough, but rarely reported with results.

You can build your own with Amazon parts for less than 1/5th of that price. It's not very complicated.

Do you happen to have a link to a build thread for a solid kit? I'd like to put together a dual catch can kit for my PB but the $400+ price tag on all the reputable brands I've seen has me looking really hard at Amazon.

I'd like to run a JLT for the PCV and maybe run an Amazon special for the CCV (or whatever Ford calls it) side.

Just a regular 3.5 Ecoboost? How was the install?
Yessir, just a 3.5 Ecoboost. Install is very straight forward and took about 30 mins. The only part that is annoying about the separators is the fact that every time you empty them the engine cover needs to be removed to access the connections.

Ford performance doesn’t list an option for the powerboost. I suppose you could fabricate a bracket that would be compatible with the power boost, but then you have the issues of the hose length.

there are certainly options available that our powerboost compatible

No sir, I have the Ford Performance dual catch can system
I'll do some digging....didn't even know Ford had released an option for a dual catch can.
