If leveling is so great, why doesn't Ford do it?

Ford Performance offers new rear shackles that reduces the rake. They also have another kit that drops the front end as well. Perhaps that's part of the upcoming LOBO package.
Removing the rear blocks is an essentially free mod

There is really no benefit or major downfall to leveling. I did mine because i like the look better. I tow both a 21 foot walleye boat and a 29 foot travel trailer and I have no problem with the truck. The WDH takes care of everything with the travel trailer.

My previous truck was a 2020 Lariat supercrew with 6.5' bed.
Very nice truck, for the first time ever I decided to level the front with 2.25" and it looked bad, front was higher.
Ended up putting a lift block in the back and looked really good.

Besides that, 33" 22s a/t tires.....terrible on fuel, fairly noisy on the road and never a need.

Ford rake looks silly from factory.

Having my 5" lowered rear suspension is very nice for access though.

The one thing I never understood is why guys who don’t level their trucks have so much hatred for leveled trucks? While guys who level their trucks seem indifferent to those who don’t. What makes guys who don’t like leveled trucks so angry?

Read some of these replies lol. Even the original post. I guess I don’t understand having such strong feelings towards what others choose to do with their trucks.

Yeah I agree. There are lots of helpful posts on this forum, and I have nothing to complain about. But when I read back to some of the historical posts and especially on some other forums it's wild to me how people get upset about other people's choices sometimes.

I've seen pictures of f-150s lowered with sport tires that look really sweet. And I've seen pictures of f-150s lifted with off-road tires cool wheels and winches that look awesome too. And everything in between. To me that's the beauty of pickup trucks and sports cars and classic cars. Pretty much everything you can imagine has been done, and if it hasn't you can do it yourself.

I have nothing but respect for anyone who takes the time to customize their vehicle in a way that they like. Personally I plan to drop the back end of mine a couple inches mostly because I can't stand the jacked up factory rake look, and I also want my tailgate lower since I'm not exactly a tall person. If I had the money I'd probably spend it on a lowering kit and lower the front and inch in the back four. But by the same token my brother drives a Chevy Silverado that's got a 6-in lift in it. I think they both look awesome.

Very well said. Everything has definitely been done. Sometimes I see a truck with certain mods and think “not for me”, but it just never crossed my mind to post/ask “why would you do that, that’s not how Ford wants it to be?”

Ok, I guess I can see that. I just saw them as argumentative, but I get it.

I guess my question is why the rear needs to be so high when in previous years tailgate height was considerably lower. I do think it makes the trucks look awkward and in some cases less usable for certain things. The Ranger is even worse than the F150 and in Ford's advertising photos, they are obviously PSed to look more level. I was looking at Rangers before I bought the F150 and the TG height was just as tall as a F150 (the Ranger was actually more expensive than the F150 since they never have 10k worth of incentives on them). Since I load bikes in the back of my truck all the time, the TG height really matters. I was parked next to a mid-2000's Chevy 1500 and it was at least 8 in lower, so other than the incessant "bigger is better" design language, I wonder what is driving the very high TG heights.

Amen. I wish I could get a 90% scale f150 with a ride height like the 90s.

Ford spends millions designing and testing their trucks for the best performance, efficiency, and reliability. If having a level stance aided in these area’s they would obviously build them that way. Leveling a truck adversely affects it in the aforementioned areas. Oh, and some people think it looks good. Thanks for your thoughts.
What?

A "reverse level" vastly improved brake dive and general handling. The trade off is those nice little payload numbers. 4+ inches of rake is just stupid. Ford should instead give 2" of rake and an extra progressive spring in the rear.

Lots of cons for lifting the fronts of these trucks so I will post something positive. Since lifting the front of mine 2 inches I don't have water pooling on my canvas bed cover anymore when it rains! Also, makes loading and unloading the dirt bike a little easier.
