I ordered my new truck on Nov 14th. Got an immediate response that the order was accepted. Been watching my Ford.com account and see that my vehicle is in production as of Jan 18th. Because I need to arrange travel to pick it up I have been using the chat. And yes I do have a window sticker and VIN. Told last week that my vehicle was built and scheduled for delivery on the 18th of Feb. Wanted too verify that today and told by chat that my vehicle is in Production and ETA should be March 17th to the 21st. Very discouraging, not because I am in a hurry but because the info is so convoluted. I guess I will just have to wait till the salesman calls and says that the truck is there....Disappointed in Ford communication.

Absolutely, Ford chat, customer service people who you can call don't know jack sh*t. Ford is playing games and not being honest with customers on these 2024 f150s. I'm giving them to beginning of march then I'm done with it. They can keep it.

I live in the Detroit area, I have some time this week so I was gonna drive around Dearborn, I know where all off Ford's holding lots are, gonna drive by them and see if they are stuffed full of 24' f150's

It would seem that those lots must be full. They have been taking orders since Oct. or Nov. I am sure the process to build these vehicles is pretty standardized. Tracking the production, location of a specific vehicle and a better accountability would be a given. Also, no information about any incentives, Ford Truck Month deals etc. Somebody is asleep at the wheel.

seems this is the same cycle every year. my 23 sat in a parking lot for 2 1/2 months from Nov 2022 to Jan 2023. never ended up buying it. bought a truck off the lot instead. funny thing is it was someone else's order they either bailed on or cancelled. and neither Ford Chat or my dealer could tell me where or when it might arrive.

Yea, but Job #1 production did not start until late Dec/early Jan depending on the plant. Can't believe tooling changes could have taken that long to complete.

Just a thought. I am wondering if the newest trucks just off the assembly lines had the rear axle bolt fixed, or whether those people will also have to wait until Ford decides the cheapest and easiest way to fix the problem with parts procured from the cheapest place available. Wouldn't continuing to produce and sell an already known defective product open them up to a load of liability? If the newest trucks have the issue repaired, why does everyone else have to wait until the second quarter of the year to have theirs fixed?

The Max Tow Package is no longer available in 2024.
I assume that the specific Max Tow axle which suffers from the breaking bolts is no longer being used in the '24s.

Max tow is no longer available a package, that is correct. But it is still available as an axle sub option when the tow package is selected.

I have not yet towed anything with mine. I am wondering if it is the towing that causes the bolts to break, or whether it is torque etc.

Interesting to know and thanks for clarifying!
Surely Ford wouldn't be offering the axle unless they have fixed the problem with them.

I’ve got over 10k towing my camper and 1k pulling my boat without breaking my max tow axle bolts. Knock on wood and any other materials close by!
