Had my truck since July of 2022 and I’ve probably had to force a reset a half dozen times. Sometimes due to Apple Car-Play issues where I’ve had to reboot my phone as well. Other times it’s been due to weird issues like the entire left bank of speakers turning off or screen freeze on the head unit itself. Seems, at least for myself that these gremlins pop up either after an iPhone OS update, or one of the OTA updates from Ford
Observed similar issues when Ford OTA updates are pending but not after, seems like it's just too much data for the system to handle.

I agree with you. I think they’ve loaded these newer vehicles with so much tech garbage that it’s a wonder the damn things work at all

I've been curious if it could accept a 2GB chip -- this would help out the 15.5" vertical displays tremendously if so.

Would be a solid fix, I see that chipset can support up to 4gb as well. Could be interesting if it's easily expandable not soldered in.

It's all soldered on, that's not an issue though, just need a hot air gun for performing such things.

Reverse/360 cams froze the show today, sync rebooted a few mins later on it's own. Don't have cameras set on delay anymore, that used to cause this lock up much more frequently.

Just once. About 1.5 years into nearly 3 years of ownership.

The Nav was really confused and was showing the truck up in the peaks of the nearby mountains.

Once or twice a week. Sometimes multiple times a day. It usually freezes up when I start the truck. Other times it stops playing audio in middle of driving. It also will not keep ambient lighting off. I'll turn it off and the next time I start the truck it's back to being turned on. I wouldn't mind it if the ambient lighting actually looked nice.

I've been having to set up my dash a lot lately as well because it will go back to default. That's many times a week and sometimes multiple times a day.

Ford mentions in all of their OTAs that they're making the truck better over time, but they've shown the opposite in my experience.

Location stuck in my neighborhood this morning, all features work, sound on. Had to manual reboot twice, ran smooth rest of my commute. Using an iphone15 pro.

Your issues sounds a bit battery related in addition to glitchy sync4 issues, is your truck a powerboost?

This morning music i was streaming (YouTube Music) from Android Auto (Samsung Galaxy z-Fold 3) was in and out. Resetting it did not make any difference.

I feel like I do it more then necessary for various issues. More annoying then anything

Phone dependent. New phones do some really stupid shit I haven't figured out yet. My galaxy S10, flawless 100%. Not high 99s, 100%. Galaxy s21 won't stay connected in the MME for 10 minutes. In the F150 it drops about every 30 minutes. Not sure if it's trying lower MCS rates for the connection, some energy saving bullshit, who knows. New phones always suck. It's not the vehicles.

Sync screen freezing up or going black is the vehicle. AA / AAP is being drawn by the phones.

My entire screen goes black, not just the portion dedicated to CarPlay. It has also done it with no phone connected. In my case at least, it’s a Sync4 issue.
