The price is right, I just ordered one, I might ping you if I run into installation/working questions :)

I like this too.
beautiful work, probably more complex and definitely more expensive

Since the Hyundai mirror works, I'm going to try it, I'll figure out the wiring once I get it in hand. Bob's harness is definitely a possibility, or fuse taps, or something like this:

Never liked these because they cut into the wire your connecting too. Where, over time, wire breaks at that point because of vibration. The current draw is so low, run a 20 gauge 2 wire across, behind the headliner, down the A pillar to the fuse block behind the kick panel. Use a Fuse Tap for switched 12 volts and there is a ground bolt beside the block. Worry free install IMO.

The other option I considered was to buy a dash cam plugin adapter like the Dongar and clip into that so I didn't have to touch the factory wiring. But the other thing is that the Dongar cost almost as much as the Harness form Bob's.

Yeah I tried to source connectors to make my own harness and it's not easy to find them cheap enough, so getting Bob's harness remains an option.
Running wires from the mirror all the way down to the fuse box sounds like a lot of work though (I'd need to pull a bunch of panels off? I haven't gone in the truck to look at it though)

Pry off the O SHIT HANDLE cover and undo 2 nuts....A pillar cover comes off.. drop clove box down ( like you're changing cabin filter )...pull off kick panel cover.... run wire down to fuse box. Takes about 20 minutes to run the wire, tops.

I used these T connectors and tapped the OEM mirror wires. I cut the harness that came with the mirror down to about 6" and tapped the wires that went to my factory mirror.

Run both a switched and constant power plus ground. That way if you add something else you will have the wires in place. Just be sure to tape the ends.

I just did the Kia Hyundai mirror swap within the last few weeks.

I ordered part number: S8F62-AU000 and it came with a wiring harness that you can manually wire in. The mount is the exact same as the F150.

Or in my case I ordered a mirror harness from Bobs mirrors that adapted the Kia wiring to Ford and just plugged right in.
