Pathetic. I wonder if any adventurous souls might try to fab up a heat sink to install on the factory DRL LED assembly. It is my understanding that these specific LEDs don't have heat sinks, while the LED headlights and fog lights do. The running theory is the DRL LEDs overheat and fail.

Do I understand correctly?

You won't be buying another F-150 because a day-time running light failed?

i know right?! like what the f*ck ????
My truck is getting its third new headlight assembly next week because something was wrong with one part in them each time. Ford is bleeding out with all the expensive warranty replacements on these trucks!

my theory is that they use cheap and low quality LED components that do not last as long as the other automotive manufacturers.

I have turned off the DRLs to keep mine from failing even though I like the effect and safety of the DRLs.

How absurd is it to wonder if Ford will somehow open a customer satisfaction campaign to repair the problem that everyone knows is a manufacturing defect on probably thousands of trucks nationwide?

I think their lack of addressing issues like this make customers turn to other manufacturers for replacement vehicles.

I've noticed it's been this style headlight, not the ones on the loaded Lariats, Plats, KR, and Limited.

I'm wondering if the people with failing DRL's are the same one's that had the recall flicker fix coding performed.
i believe i had the recall performed prior to 1st set of headlights being replaced.
