So I got the notice in my Ford Pass as well. = I thought I was a Job 1 build (outside of date range, but perhaps not), I will have to look for frame sticker, but I got Ford Pass, so I may have issue right?
Also I saw here...
I have 12 oil changes with 33K miles now. Early on (new) it was changed often, now with the engine idle meter and mileage I wait until it is about 50% oil life left. Turbos love clean oil. Oil change is cheaper than filling the 36 gal tank...
The factory rear gear oil at 600 miles was dirty...
I'm sure its lower on the highway now in the cold. Lariat grill was coverd white with ice. Sure, it may not be lower than ambient actual, but it does show IAT's are lower now and closer to ambient. This is cold NY air. Most here don't have a SGII do you don't even know what your IAT is...
I realize margin of error, but even with that I had never seen -1 ( minus one deg F.)difference before. The front surface area is greater so more air is allowed in. Yes it's good to cut the factory piece like others did above. I was paranoid after seeing the TSB on the 24's blowing turbos due...
Unless the ford PCM is lying to me that it what it said. I read IAT from Scanguage (PCM) and the ambient is provided from the factory. Twice I saw 1 degree lower than ambient, all via Fords sensors. Not lying about this. Did you get fired or something? Nice single deleted post/thread you...
Looks great, I have the built-right? panels also, I thought they had a big one you could put across the front of the box, under rear window, but that's bad if you have anything in the bed, even if empty is a pain to get back there.
Update on the COBB Radiator cover: On the highway my air intake temp is 1 degree warmer than ambient. A few times I saw my IAT was 1 degree LOWER than ambient, I don't think you can get that with factory setup. However I did not watch this temperature on the factory piece. I have a...
Nice write-up! Gung ho with sprayer - I use fluid film in upstate NY, winters salt etc. I just use the cans. I don't have any golden rust spots, not even the rear Axle, 2021 F150 except the exhaust. I used FF on a Marauder which did see some winters, and after 15 years the even bolts heads...
So I have a nice little wall outlet heater (350w) and it works great in the front or rear outlets.
It has a nice simple red rocker switch on the side, so I can leave it in the on position when I stop the truck.
however it only comes on when I press the Start button, not doing remote starts.
I...
That's a good looking setup. I did your avg speed and 3 hrs 49 mins doing 105 miles is only 27.5 miles per hour average. cool you are in Hawaii.
I got 21.7 MPG over a distance of 884 miles. Average speed over 12 hours = 72.7 average miles per hour. I have not seen anyone beat that, big...
Welcome to Ford, you have a good looking truck. I am paranoid about the trans pan, as I hit a rock (in a car before F150) I think it hit the oil pan in high grass....
Yes I own one already - picture of it installed. I have the anti-theft cat guards too.
Also pictured - removed access plate for oil change.
Would recommend this over the diaper, also protects the plastic trans pan.
No, I spirited drive FORCES more oil into the intake. If you let your truck idle at 5 mph to and from work you are good.
Look at this picture (Ford 32v) , see all of the black stuff in the middle? That is not suppose to be there, that is OIL getting sucked back in, a catch can stops this...
