So probably a battery replacement? I drive it multiple times a day so its not sitting off for long periods of time.
Honestly, there's no way to know unless you verify yourself.
I have a cheap Bluetooth battery monitor on my truck so that I can monitor the 12V battery(s) without touching the truck or waking it up. (waking it makes it impossible to know what the static voltage was)

It'd be interesting at what voltage your truck is sitting at to see if it really is below say..... 12.3V?
Because if it's 12.3V or higher, there's no reason for your remote features to be disabled.

The truck only works if you remember to use the two step starting method consistently. If you forget (out of habit) and you trigger stop safely now, you then have to wait or try some other ritual to get it started. That means the truck cannot be counted on to start. If Ford is willing to train every potential new buyer on the work arounds then buyers would know what they are getting into and could make an informed decision. I would not have made the purchase. BTW my 2021 Ram limited was loaded with electronics and it started every time. My 2023 S550 is also loaded with electronics and it starts every time through the normal start process.
It's a friggin EIGHTY THOUSAND dollar truck. Use your brain before you start it. Jesus man. I try to be patient with some of you but honestly you're just cry babies. I found this thread before I even owned the thing. Take it upon yourself to be a man or just turn the truck in, stop crying on these threads. We are here to help people and ZERO people here have said the issue occurs when they use the two step method, a friggin' FIVE SECOND process. C-R-Y-B-A-B-I-E-S

Blame Ford yeah yeah yeah sure sure sure. Meanwhile Teslas get delivered every day with Quality Control issues that we'd all choke on our coffees over. Toyota Tacomas were being delivered with low transmission fluid. Owners tracked down the actual robot line that was filling them incorrectly and INFORMED USERS got Toyota to fix it. These are massive companies, problems occur. You all act so individually slighted. The problem will get fixed on a mass scale but they can't just push software to everyone unless it's completely and thoroughly vetted.

Be thankful we have the guys here who have devoted their time and resources to solving issues on the ground.

Honestly, most of the time I don't know if my truck started.

It's dead quiet.
I put it in reverse.
Let off the brake and it rolls backwards at about 8mph.

I still marvel everytime.

Note: my external speaker is disabled.

I really didn't want to be the guy to agree with this but I wholeheartedly am. I bought my powerboost knowing this could/would be an issue so I took it upon myself to learn what to do ahead of time. Lucky me. Others not so much.

To me, not helping yourself with these trucks after doing a google search and using the 2 step start is akin to suing McDonald's because their coffee burned you. Yeah you might have a case, but do you want to be the person who argued in open court that they couldn't advocate for themselves even one little bit? Granted, It doesn't make the first SSN suck any less but at least people here have put in the leg work to come up with a workaround. ?

Obviously, you can't handle people having opinions that differ with yours. I trust if you bought a new home and occasionally all of the electricity in the house went out for 30-minutes to an hour at a time and they took months to fix it you would be perfectly fine. I would not. Different approaches to the same problem. No need to call people names and act like a total *ss until I agree with your opinions. The key is other vehicle manufacturers can provide vehicles that work as designed straight off the showroom floor. But according to you I am supposed to accept all of the Ford flaws without question and allow them as many months or years as needed to resolve the issue all while proclaiming it is sunshine and roses. Kiss ford's *ss all you want. I have higher standards and higher expectations and I will damn well state my opinion about it on this forum whether you can handle it or not. Not everyone here has to agree with you and I will not cow to your BS and demands to comply.

I've owned this Powerboost for a year and half.
I owned the previous Powerboost for 50 weeks, 2 weeks short of year.

Never had the no start, but did have a Stop Safely Now one time.

I usually do the 2-step start and often the Hybrid Battery top-off routine when I end a trip. Mostly because I am a nerd and have digested so much of the collective wisdom of the forum. Having 42 individual modules in this truck is a bit intimidating considering all the necessary collaboration they all must participate in at startup. So it just made sense to give the truck it's best opportunity to "boot up" properly.

I do think Ford should widen the margin of error for the boot up dance. If it took 5 seconds for the Ready light to come on after the start button was pushed, nobody would freaking out, I don't think? :)

Amazing vehicle. I'm a full time RV'r and a remote office (roadside) worker. So I'm the bullseye target customer for the Powerboost. I want the truck to BE what it's designed to be bad enough that I'll accommodate the minor (so far) quirks it might have.

I had the stop safely message twice in one week. I have not had it again since I started following the 2 step method so at least the work-around seems to be effective. I agree, adding a delay in the start-up window would seem to be an easy fix. I love many features of the truck, but after two "no starts:" in a single week due to the Stop Safely Now issues I am having trouble trusting it will start. I am sure that will come with time.

I hope for your sake that you gain the confidence necessary to truly enjoy the truck. And then when Ford FINALLY delivers the "bug fix", because that truly is what it will be, you can unlearn the pre-flight routine. Lol

Except I don't know if I would be willing to ever go back, requiring me to change what had already earned my trust? ??

You’re so full of it. Dodge Rams blew out their bottom ends at such a high rate they had to be recalled. Priuses stuck their throttles open and people died. Firestone tires exploded en masse and people died. This is not new. You didn’t complain once, you did it over and over. Just like Jus Cruisin who wants to poison every thread with his whining. I won’t reply anymore since this thread is about solutions but just know that we know you’re upset and we are so sorry you had such a bad time.

I’ll keep pushing start with my foot on the floor and then roll quietly out of my driveway in electric mode.

Thanks for proving my point. Your pucker while kissing Ford's *ss is beyond reproach. You keep pretending Ford is perfect while they are blowing Max Tow axle bolts, having to refund Raptors on BlueCruise and are unable to update Job 1 2021's software to enable features people purchased but did not receive. Absolutely flawless.

Interesting that you are around the 2500mi mark. Thats about where I'm at and I've had this issue once. I saw at least 1 other person around that mileage as well. Please keep us posted if you discover a definite cause.
I know this post is a bit dated, and I'm still reading it. But just to add another data point, my truck is a week old, less than 200 miles, and I had this issue. The day before Ford Pass app told me it was no longer communicating with the truck, then the next day I drove the truck to town, came back home (had issues with Android / Sync communicating with each other on the return trip - another issue altogether that ended up being on the Truck side, and sync module finally reset itself, I assume). Anyhow, a few hours later I tried to get in the truck to go somewhere, and got the alternating faults and it wouldn't start. Spent 20 minutes futzing around, found the one post on mustang forums about going into accessory mode first, then putting foot on brake and starting, and it started. Whether it was that, or a timing coincidence, I cannot say.

Congratulations on the new truck @hokieinidaho

Please keep us posted if the 2-step ever fails you or not.
Can I ask if this is your first Gen14 F150? Or did you have a 2021-2022 before this new truck?

This forum is not just about solution, it’s also for people to complain if they’re not 100% satisfy with their purchase. If I’m looking to buy a new truck, I’d appreciate reading all type of responses regarding their purchase and experience. The last thing we want is to kiss Ford’s @$$, that’s how they become lax is their quality control. I’m happy with my Powerboost so far, but I’m still angry at Ford for this SSN issue every time I read that someone experience it.

I gotta agree.
I also believe a man needs a safe place to let go of a rant!

Bottling it up isn't good for.... Well, the wife/kids/dog? :)

But I think it's also fair to say that speaking well of your truck, even glowing about it, shouldn't be considered as kissing anyone's dairyaire.
