It isn't just Ford that is falling way behind when you use Tesla engineering as the yardstick.

Talk about disruption!

Still waiting for Tesla to release something that's .........warm?
They already own the nerd in me.

I need both.
I have held off the Tesla march until a month ago. Was going to get a Model Y a year ago but the market was just too frothy. Got this Model Y a week off the line in Fremont with new Hardware 4 computer, new HD camera systems and new 16 volt lithium battery for $12k less than the same car with old hardware one year ago. Tesla is disrupting more than tech in the market place.

If you open the hood of our 2 1/2 -year-old Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, you won't find an old-tech 12v battery in there either. In fact, you won't find a battery under the hood at all. Rumor has it, it's a 12ah Lithium Ion battery under the back seat. Pretty interesting to watch the changes occurring in an industry that has been around a long time.

Well, here we go again. And I can't get where I need to go. So frustrating.

And this is with trying the accessory first, then brake-start. Fail!

Drove it last night. Not sure why 12v is so low.

Remote start from app just gives a horn beep, and the same SSN on dash

The fix is supposedly released by Ford and available to install.

The Stop Safely Now warning is a generic warning for many issues, not specific to the 2023 SSN issues under discussion.

I don't have any ideas what is wrong with your truck but an SOC of 74 and a 12 volt battery voltage of 12.1 volt is in the range where issues may happen in the electrical system. You should seek to determine why your battery is not fully charged.

I agree SSN is generic for a wide range of faults, which differed between my first SSN and my 2nd SSN. But I do not understand how my SSN for my 2023 is not specific to this discussion? What am I missing?

The 12v at the time of fault, went back to 14v after letting the vehicle site for 5-10 minutes and coming back to it. Don't confuse my providing data via the gauges (as an attempt to share information to get the bottom of everyone's issues) as a 12V batter issue not related to SSN.

As for the aux/start procedure, as I suspected, I believe we've a coincidence on timing. That's my 2c anyhow.

Odds are it's an update that shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
I wouldn't agree to any dealership turning that into a "leave your truck with us" tomfoolery.

Of course those with FDRS aren't going to need to visit the dealership at all.

HA! I'd just be happy if they connected the dots to the printed TSB I'm going to bring in. I have very low expectations on service centers, other than my family member's garage. I wouldn't be surprised if I took it in, told them what was happening, explained that this is a known problem happening to many according to forum research, handed them the TSB, and then 2 days later I get my truck back and they replaced the front right tire.

Wish in 1 hand, crap in the other, see which one gets full first, the ole' man used to say.

I'm wondering if this is even worth trying with a truck with no previous SSN's. Probably just asking for a jinxing...

The SSN alert in 2023 PB's is commonly associated with trouble codes U0293 and P1A43. As clearly laid out in Ford's SSM15822 message. Unless you trapped those codes there is no way to know why you had a SSN event. Given the SOC of your battery it is plausible there were other reasons.

Ford's latest suggestion to upgrade the Gateway module was in response to the 2023 model year SSN events that evoke the above trouble codes. Is that specific enough for you?

TurboPilot - I hope this message finds you well.

Your post:
"The Stop Safely Now warning is a generic warning for many issues, not specific to the 2023 SSN issues under discussion. "

I thought you were inferring that my troubles had no business in this thread. Now I understand you're referring to the TSB. My apologies.

My codes, unfortunately, do not in fact qualify, it would seem, which sucks. I was starting to have hope that there might be a solution.
