Does anyone have the FORScan information for an XL RCSB base truck? Wasn't sure if this one would work for sure since it's for a 501A truck. Also, what is Smart Auto? I also have the paper copies of this from when I bought the HSW harnes. From what I can tell I would have:

CFZ single zone, SA disabled, RC not available, and HSW available for the first section

CAHSW enabled, MD on, and FDZLB link button for the section section

V P558 - Super Duty for the third section (I'm not using the electronic HVAC controls)

RSCS enabled, RSDS disabled, RSF enabled, RSPS disabled for the fourth section

RSRD enabled, RSSW enabled, SD disabled, ISA disabled for the fifth section

HSW enabled, HW disabled, BPC disabled, FI enabled for the sixth section

HC disabled, H disabled, and HSW enabled for the seventh section

HSW enable for the ninth section

SWSLHC no switch for the tenth section

HSWLTPS 35 degrees for the eleventh section

HSWASOT off for the twelf section

Could anyone verify this seems correct?

Hey guys, first let me say I know the answer to this is in this thread, I honestly just can't find it again. Apologies for that.

I have a '23 502a and I just pulled my airbag tonight and unfortunately no dice on having the HSW from the factory. I know I need to buy the HSW (ML3Z-3600-RA) and then buy the SCCM (ML3Z-3F791-BB), plus a new bolt. I did the HVAC piece a long time ago to get the digital readout, so I'm dialed there. My question is regarding the wiring. What is the easiest way to tell if I need the wiring harness or not. I know I saw something in the threads about being able to see it without taking it apart, but I can't find that info again. I saw a post recently with a picture, but I can't find how get that view. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Take your phone and look under the steering column where you will find almost a square area in the plastic cover that allows you to see the 2 plug areas at the back of the SCCM. Here's a pic of my 2022 XLT 302A. Yours should be similar to see as well. If you look closely you can see there is nothing plugged in on the right. That's how I know I need the harness without disassembling anything. My angle could have been a little better but you get the idea.

So i have a 302A XLT 2.7L ecoboost and I finished installing it today. Its snowing and about 27 degrees outside. the heated steering wheel is on without me manually having to press the soft button.

Is this normal?

If it is, i will leave it alone, if its not what the hell did I do?

Is the wheel button on the right side menu red? If so, press it so it turns white and see if the wheel turns off.

no thats the problem, its white when i turn the truck on and the steering wheel is on, then if i turn it on and try to turn it off, it still stays on. I dunno what to do to be honest with you

What did you use for the power and ground connections for your SCCM?

Another thing i just noticed. So prior to this I had lane keep and cruise control, the new steering wheel has adaptive cruise control and some other functions im not sure of.

Anyway, long story short, i cant activate lane keep, and i cant activate cruise control, and the volume up and down buttons dont work.

essentially all the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel dont work.

what is the fix for this? All the buttons on the right work fine.

If you didn't swap your switch to the new steering wheel, you need to do a ForScan change.

i was going to add the module but i think i'm done modding for a bit, its too cold in NY lol. I think i'll just take the airbag out and swap the switches, i was looking at my old steering wheel and it looks like its just 2 torx bits holding the plastic trim in place.

You can leave the switch, just make the ForScan change and add the ACC when you get a chance.

any quick guides for this? I assume i'll need parts
Check the link in my post below.
You can swap the controls as @Je1279 mentioned, or you can leave them and change 724-03-01 03XX XXXX — in the SCCM. The distance button for ACC won’t do anything, it’s a dead button and doesn’t throw any errors or silent codes. It’ll just sit there as a reminder for your next project should you choose to dive down that rabbit hole…

TLDR: you can add adaptive cruise control in the future if you wish. That button will come in handy if you do.

@Karimitsuu I currently have the ACC switch on my steering wheel though I don't currently have that feature (have the parts, waiting on warmer weather also). The forscan change to the ACC switch is simple and you won't freeze your ass off or possibly break things trying to replace the switch in the cold. If you don't end up adding ACC down the road, swap the switches out when it's warmer and change the value back to its original in forscan.
