i was going to add the module but i think i'm done modding for a bit, its too cold in NY lol. I think i'll just take the airbag out and swap the switches, i was looking at my old steering wheel and it looks like its just 2 torx bits holding the plastic trim in place.
Another thing i just noticed. So prior to this I had lane keep and cruise control, the new steering wheel has adaptive cruise control and some other functions im not sure of.
Anyway, long story short, i cant activate lane keep, and i cant activate cruise control, and the volume up and down...
your thinking is spot on, i had the wires switched, i made my own harness and i had it backwards. cut both wires and swapped em and now it works perfectly and correlates to the screen button. Ty for helping
no thats the problem, its white when i turn the truck on and the steering wheel is on, then if i turn it on and try to turn it off, it still stays on. I dunno what to do to be honest with you
So i have a 302A XLT 2.7L ecoboost and I finished installing it today. Its snowing and about 27 degrees outside. the heated steering wheel is on without me manually having to press the soft button.
Is this normal?
If it is, i will leave it alone, if its not what the hell did I do?
