Question about the soft HSW button on the side screen. I noticed it stays red even after it times out. I set mine to 39 degrees and 20 minutes. It shuts off after 20 minutes but the icon remains red.
Has anyone noticed this and have you found a way to make it clear?
Interesting, guess I've never seen that as mine is on 0 minutes so stays on all the time. Might just be a glitch running the super duty model to make it all work this way.

Would not doing a PMI on the sccm trigger the airbag light to be on ?

I switched mine to this part number ML3Z-3F791-BB
This came with a switch for power tilt and I removed it, does it need to stay hooked up?
I would need to order the newer column trim

No, you can remove it. The PMI programs the unit to your truck. Following the PMI you'd still need to enable the HSW w/ forscan.

If you’ve already got FDRS for the ability to PMI, why not just enable the heated steering wheel through that too using the instructions in the recall?

I don’t have FDRS yet, I’ll be buying the adaptor so I can do this and a couple other modules I’ll be adding[/QUOTE]

No, triple check you got the airbag connectors seated and locked. I've missed them a few times and got the airbag light as well so had to dig back into it.

Thank you, I’ll double check my connections tomorrow

I got a clockspring/SCCM assembly off eBay but it’s missing the orange airbag clips. Can anyone tell me if those are removable so I can take them from my existing plugs, or have we confirmed that I can use my current clockspring?

They are removable

You can't just drop them in. If they're programmed already (aka used), you can forscan the change in. Some modules come from the factory without programming on them, and without FDRS, you're not going to get them to work.
so I just installed a used HVAC module in my 2023 302a XLT. And the heated seats do not work. What do I need to change in Forscan to get the seats working?

I wish you luck. I tried the same and had no luck with everything I tried. I added the HSW, SCCA, and HVAC. Set every module every possible way to get the HVAC to work. Everything did except the heated seats and HSW. The HSW icon would turn red but no heat and the HVAC heated seat LED's would light red but no heat.
I finally just reinstalled my original HVAC and use the F-250 side-screen setting to access the soft HSW on/off button. Doing so got my heated seats working again.
There's discussion in this string that may indicate the seats are controlled elsewhere but the HVAC somehow has to be programmed accordingly to trigger that control. I tried to load my default HVAC programming to the Lariat + HVAC with no success.

Well my heated steering wheel works perfect. Only thing not working is the heated seats unfortunately

Finished my heated steering wheel retrofit today! My 402A Tremor needed the SCCM, HVAC controller with heated wheel button, and a new steering wheel with the heating elements. I knew about the SCCM and controller, but was surprised that it didn't have the heated wheel since it seems higher trim levels are still coming with the heated wheel.
For Tremor owners, the steering wheel part # is ML3Z 3600 VA (Bluecruise compatible). It's listed at $673, but can be found in the low $400s if you look around. Not sure why ours is so much more than the Lariat's, must be special spiders making that orange thread! Sure glad I got that $140 rebate from Ford (n)
I think I did figure out a quick way to tell if you have the heated steering wheel elements. The heated wheel has a little "sponginess" to it and the non-heated wheel has no give at all. Very scientific.
Glad to be done with this one. Thanks to everyone on this thread, it wasn't near as bad as I thought it was going to be. You're info and discussions helped a lot.

Sir - what is the model number of the HVAC control module and SCCM module?
Parts:
SCCM: ML3Z-3F791-BB (https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-steering-column-tube-ml3z3f791bb)
HVAC Control: NL3Z-19980-S (https://www.ebay.com/itm/126212068038)
Steering Wheel: ML3Z-3600-RA (Non active steering with heat, yours may differ)

I am going through this process myself right now, I am just waiting on the steering wheel to arrive which should be sometime next week. You may also need to wire up a harness from the BCM to the SCCM. Luckily mine was prewired so it should be a pretty straight forward swap when I get the time to install everything.

The ebay link is where I got mine, the price was less than half of everywhere else and I have received the item and verified it is the proper part. It does not have the LCD screens the 2021 models have but I didn't care about that personally. Additionally the numbers are not centered in the knob which would have bothered me more. The newer trucks don't have them anyway, so not having them isn't really a step back from where you are today on your Tremor.
