Ya I was going to suggest it might want the PMI procedure done through FDRS, it should work just fine though in the meantime.

You need the 12 inch screen upgrade to get the icon
I was just talking to a guy who makes wire harnesses so you can put the raptor steering wheel in ECT and he put the steering wheel and his XLT and stuff and he was saying to me because I have a platinum he believes the wiring is all in there other than programming which I do have the HVAC because of them removing the climate numbers in the buttons I have that piece. He seems to think that all I need is the steering wheel. I hope so. I’m not sure this is all sprung on me today. I am trying to decide if I should take the truck or not because this truck is more than my last platinum my 17 and my 17 at this point is starting to have the same options or more options as the 23 other than the big screen not sure really if I should bother or not. So I’m trying to find out what I exactly need and part numbers so I can get pricing.AFAICT, Ford has no intention of retrofitting anything that's been removed because they did not have the parts when the truck was built. That, I believe, is why they force the order to reflect the deletion before the build, and in the case of things that were supposed to have it by virtue of their packaging/marketing, they give back a small smidge of the cost in the MSRP they put on the sticker (e.g. $140 for deleting heated steering). They'll also explicitly require your signature on paperwork making it clear that you're not getting a heated steering wheel.
You may be the first to have posted on this thread who has an actual truck (at the dealer, at least) with "STEERING WHEEL - HEAT REMOVAL" on the sticker. Some of us do have that sticker, but no truck yet. I have that on the sticker, but the truck is notionally "Built" and has been sitting in Dearborn for the past 3 weeks.
It has been rumored that the missing item is the heated wheel itself - something about the company that made those going out of business. I find it logical that the issue may be the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM, aka the clock spring), since those are now apparently very hard to get everywhere and the price of one roughly corresponds to the give-back Ford puts on the sticker. It could be both. But that's just speculation - if anyone actually knows I don't think they've posted here yet.
Pretty much for sure they'll have also removed the heated steering button from the console controls, and set the vehicle config and as-built data to reflect no steering wheel heat, because that sorta has to be done for the resulting build to make sense ,and it is easy for them to do those things.
I pitched a fit with my dealer, when I found out (on my own - I had no heads up from them), and got at least verbal agreement for an additional discount, in trade for not walking on the deal altogether. I'll use the discount, if I can, to buy the parts and make this right myself. This thread gives me hope that this will eventually be possible. I really have no hope, though, that anybody at Ford is going to put together a program to make the higher-trim '23 builds what they should have been. That will be up to the owner at best, IMO.
I know you can change the left button part number in forscan but then you may end up with more DTCs because you’re missing all the adaptive cruise settings/components. May be worth changing it and seeing what comes up.Second DTC is this one. I think it’s related to me not having switched my buttons? New SCCM has auto wipers - I did install the sensor and enabled them in forscan. I do not have adaptive cruise, so I think that’s why the error? I do plan to add the radar for adaptive cruise, but I’ll wait for it to warm up before I try to tackle that one. Thoughts on this one?

I did not get any DTC for it, but its also been -10 to -20 here so not sure how to test if it fully works. Another member shared with me the changes he made in forscan to enable it. I can send to you.I know you can change the left button part number in forscan but then you may end up with more DTCs because you’re missing all the adaptive cruise settings/components. Also you, added the rain sensor and enabled all that? Does it seem to be working? What was your process/order of programming/install. I’m stuck with a dtc for the sensor at the moment.
I had a buddy that used to work in the oil fields in ND and he would tell me about how cold it would get up there (wind chill -60 wasn't uncommon) and I just couldn't even hear him say that without shiveringI did not get any DTC for it, but its also been -10 to -20 here so not sure how to test if it fully works. We’ve been negative/ close to 0 in north Idaho for weeks. Came up to Alberta to the in laws for Christmas. Last year it was -30F before wind chill. Get up here this year and it’s almost 45. Gotta say, 35 to 45 never felt so good.I had a buddy that used to work in the oil fields in ND and he would tell me about how cold it would get up there (wind chill -60 wasn't uncommon) and I just couldn't even hear him say that without shivering
I am sure that someone will beat me to it since I am still waiting on my 23 to ship (it has been built and off chip hold for over a month), but I have all the parts lined up to do the heated steering wheel swap, including the SCCM, but I fully expect the SCCM that comes in the vehicle to NOT have the pins for the heated wheel. I am curious to see though. I do know that the HVAC module will NOT have the steering wheel button as I have seen a 23 and that was missing.AFAICT, Ford has no intention of retrofitting anything that's been removed because they did not have the parts when the truck was built. On my Lariat, the SCCM did not have the two pins that are needed for the heated wheel. I was able to swap the SCCM, I did swap the HVAC module. The wiring process was the two wires, one to ground and one to the BCM. That was all.I am sure that someone will beat me to it since I am still waiting on my 23 to ship (it has been built and off chip hold for over a month), but I have all the parts lined up to do the heated steering wheel swap, including the SCCM, but I fully expect the SCCM that comes in the vehicle to NOT have the pins for the heated wheel. I bought mine from https://www.onlinefordpartscatalog.com/oem-parts/ford-control-ml3z19980k , it came with the digitals in the dials.Anywhere else I can buy the ML3Z-19980-K aside from Tasca parts? They are out of them now.
If you have the adaptive cruise left switch in right now, you need to set the left switch part number in the SCCM accordingly. Everything will still work just fine.Second DTC is this one. Does it have adaptive steering? That throws a whole new wrench in there, and if so that might be the case I I don't think there is an adaptive steering less heated wheel, unless Ford just cooked up that new option. Easiest way would be to pop the air bag out quick and see what you're working with to start.I was just talking to a guy who makes wire harnesses so you can put the raptor steering wheel in ECT and he put the steering wheel and his XLT and stuff and he was saying to me because I have a platinum he believes the wiring is all in there other than programming which I do have the HVAC because of them removing the climate numbers in the buttons I have that piece. Same, it got up to about 55 here today, versus -30 wind chill last week, and I was about in a t shirt and actually had to turn my heated wheel off for a change. We’ve been negative/ close to 0 in north Idaho for weeks.
