I think so, you can verify this by checking your BCM, recalling from my (terrible) memory, I think it’s pin 15 on connector C2280A. Buts it’s been a while so someone may need to correct me on that.

If there’s a wire going into that pin on that connector, you should be able to simply add the steering wheel and do some forscan updates.

Also check that your SCCM has the pins populated on it as well. (Should be 2 pins on the back, the side facing away from the driver, and 4 pins on the front)

It will only go one way and you can use the one next to it for reference.
Here is a picture WITHOUT the heated steering wheel pinned.

This is by far the easiest of all the pins to do, HCM pins are a nightmare.

Wired for heated wheel?

I don’t have a wiring diagram in front of me to know for sure but I believe it’s one of those 4 medium sized terminals in the middle

Are there any pins where it plugs into the SCCM? If not you'll need one of them for HSW.

Yea I replaced the wheel and the SCCM.
After all that I forgot to save the old SCCM so I put it back in and now my forscan truck connection isn’t working. But I am prewired. I just need to get my forscan figured out and do this again.

Glad to hear, hopefully my new one is the same way. Swapping the wheel and SCCM is easy, but running the wire across is a pain, and definitely wasn't much easier yanking it out of my old truck last night either.

Yea if I could only get the heated wheel button to not be greyed out that would be awesome

I used a wire hanger to run the wire across behind the HVAC module instead of taking the whole thing apart

Man I’m getting close and can’t wait. Have the wheel and the HVAC module(LKQ and eBay) just waiting on the SCCM and wiring. On order. While I’m at it I’m going to finally add my lighted cup holder, media bin light and glove box light that I’ve had since DECEMBER!!! With some luck with the wife out of town next week I’ll be with my “other woman” for some quality time. ?. Come on shipping!!! Let’s go! I just remembered I have a boost auto wireless charger to stick in too!
I’ve read this and the media bin thread about a hundred times. You guys are an awesome resource!

Added the heated wheel to my 2023 F150 Powerboost XLT.

The truck needed the heated wheel, SCCM and the new bolt. I took off the power telescope off the SCCM, not needed. My truck was PREWIRED as an xlt. The harness was in the dummy plug on the back of my original SCCM and already ran to PIN 15 in the respective harness. My forscan changes are below, this added the soft button to the climate bar. Everything works. I just need to see if it works with auto climate on remote start when it gets colder out. Thanks to Livnitup and JMoney17$ for their help as well as the others on this forum!

APIM 7D0-02-03 xxxx xxx1 xx--

APIM 7D0-02-02 xxx2 xxxx xx--

APIM 7D0-02-01 xxxx 5xxx xx--

After changing these values go into the wrench icon in FORScan and reset the APIM. This should add a climate bar on your screen with the HSW button.

Enable the HSW in the SCCM here: 724-01-01 xxxx 8xxx --

Enable the HSW in HVAC here: 733-01-02 xxx9 xxxx xx--

Has anyone else had an un-clearable DTC in their HVAC module (see attached images) after performing this retrofit? I loaded the new HVAC module with the data from my old one, and I've been driving around with heated steering and digital temp readout dials for a few months, now. Everything is working fine, except for this DTC I can't clear. It's like the truck doesn't realize I programmed the new HVAC module.

I'm sure I'm missing something. Google was not my friend, in this case.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

Dustin

I have a 2023 Raptor, ordered the ML3Z-3F791-HB, swapped it out, programmed the SCCM Module and the heated wheel works great. The problem is that when the first rain storm came, I no longer have auto-sensing wipers. The option is selected in Sync but they do not adjust speed based on the amount of rain. They only function based on the speed selected with the stalk. Is there something I missed?

Did you copy over your asbuilt SCCM from the old to the new? Might check the auto sense address and make sure it is enabled on the SCCM.

I have the same issue with my temp dials, but I haven’t done the heated steering wheel yet. I thought maybe it was because I got the temp dials with the heated steering wheel button, but don’t have a heated wheel yet. I haven’t even checked to see if my 22’ Lariat is prewired or not yet.
