If you order your truck from Granger and give a 'wet' signature in Iowa your warranty is good anywhere. On a expensive truck and warranty you can save money (sometimes quite a lot) flying round trip on one day to inspect it buy the warranty in Iowa and just have the truck delivered. 4% below invoice is a major break compared to typical dealership in Florida and I'm sure in California..The BS 'fees' many dealers charge AFTER the so called list price is incredible.

I would strongly suggest anyone looking for Ford PremiumCare ESP to contact Shelby directly at Granger. She's a true professional. Zero BS and extremely easy. Saved me thousands! Matters not if you purchased from Granger.

Also, I believe the ESP prices go up in April.

I usually go with Zeigler.

I just purchased a 9yr/125k PremiumCARE ($200 deductible) for $1,815 last week for my F150.

Note: If you go with Zeigler, enter the PAYINFULL in the "Promotional Code" box when pricing your plan.

Bottom line, $1,815 is a great price for a 9yr/125k PremiumCARE warranty.

I'll second that. Shelby handled my paperwork when I bought a truck from Granger last year, and she was great. No attempted upselling and extremely efficient. If not for my longer-than-necessary test drive, I would have been in and out of the dealership in well under an hour. It was a great experience, and that's something I can't say about 99% of dealerships I've interacted with over the years.

While I cannot say anything bad about Flood, the Grainger experience was just better.
At the time, the difference in price was negligible.

When I checked this morning, for straight purchase, Granger & Flood were identically priced (comparing 0/10/100), while Ziegler was almost $300 more.

Hello All,

I am also thinking about getting an ESP before the April price hike.

BUT, I bought my truck in AZ in mid January and drove it to where I live in CA. I am still waiting for the CA DMV to receive the title from the out of state bank to register it in CA.

Could I buy an ESP in AZ before I register it in CA?

Thank you in advance.

How are you guys getting these prices? Do they vary that much by state? I am in IL and my price from Flood (same as Granger but I won't buy from them) was 2800 for 100K miles and 10 years. I also added the lights option for an additional $70.

CA & FL have massive Car Dealer / Insurance lobbies.
I think Toyota and Nissan have these blocks for all places, but, but, but there are easier ways around for folks not in CA or FL to get them at a discount.

As for granger: 100%
I purchased 3 vehicles in 2 years all 3 had extended warranties purchased through Granger.
No one would touch their prices. I think next vehicle...probably will be an Expedition. Might order directly from Granger not just the warranty.

I lived in Florida for a number of years and was in the car business down there, as well.

Basically, back in the 80s a number of fly by night insurance companies sold extended warranties then couldn't pay the claims and went insolvent. In an effort to control the issue, legislation was enacted that requires policies sold in the state to be sold by a licensed Florida dealer, and backed by an insurer licensed by the State of Florida. If you read the fine print of an ESP policy, you will see that the policies sold in Florida are backed by a different company. In reality it has no bearing on the end user when they have to use the coverage, but it ensures that the claims will actually get paid.
