I made my appointment today for 6/17. Hoping they don’t give me grief for rear blocks removed and my Steeda rear sway bar. I also asked them to check that clunky shifting 10R80.
It happens to me at the gas station across the street from where I live and only on the pumps on right hand side of the station. This has been the case with my 2022 and 23 trucks as well as my dad’s 21 F150. Never had this happen anywhere else. Will definitely have to try the lock/unlock trick.
Not according to my dealer. I had them install the Ecoboost version on my truck last month and they literally swore on a stack of bibles that they would honor my Ford ESP.
If you have low mileage test it with some of those test strips and if it tests good then I wouldn’t worry about it. My 22 only has 9600 miles on it and the fluid still looks new. If it test good no reason to change it.
More than likely it’s rail dust which generally happens when the truck is first transported from the factory to wherever. They have a product for that: https://a.co/d/bPdXGHL
I will admit that Ford does go to the extreme with their idea of rake. I’ve owned many Rams and even a few GM trucks in the distant past and their idea of rake was much more subtle. I leveled my F150 by removing the rear blocks and even at that it still has more than enough rake.
99% of the “leveled” trucks that I see the front looks higher than the rear. 90% of their headlights are bouncing off the moon because apparently people don’t know how or care to adjust their headlights.
You wouldn’t fix that on a basically new Raptor? I might agree if it was a base model XL with steelies and a 3.3 but that’s very nice and relatively expensive truck.
Any problems with the Zf8 were worked out a long time ago. I had three Rams and all had flawless transmissions. I only came back to Ford for the engines because the 5.7 Hemi just wasn’t enough. I would definitely go back for an SRT 6.4 over anything that the F150 currently has.
And those could easily be 400K mile engines without the emissions stuff! On the other hand I had three 3.5 Ecoboost trucks and then gave the Coyote a try in my last truck and while the performance was good I couldn’t live without that extra 90 lb/ft of torque at a much lower RPM. Now I would...
I wish Ford had decided to go with the Zf 8sp auto myself instead of the 10R80. Definitely a much smoother shifting unit for sure. Hopefully when I get my Ford Procal installed next month it will help with that a bit.
Probably some kind of dealer warranty. The kind that requires you to take it to them to have all the maintenance done. Doubt you’ll get a reply from the OP though, hasn’t been seen since April 2021.
