Ford Performance tune for 3.5's coming (It's here!)

Lol I don't feel like I do but that's the best MPG I've been able to get with city driving, even before the calibration. The wife and I took a trip to Idaho and on that mostly highway 16 hour drive I got it to about 16MPG. That was the best I had ever seen.

I'm on stock tires 3.5eb but I manage 23 hwy but most of my driving is city around 20(until I started using Costco gas). Guess I might as well get a raptor if the mpg gets that bad after a lift anyways

So ford makes the tire and gear size adjustable for all their other vehicles including rangers, but the F150 Procal 4 tool that comes with the tune apparently doesn’t let you adjust either of those not even to factory sizes.

If you adjust the tire size in forscan will the ford performance tune erase the setting??

can I buy a second non performance tune proc cal tool just to adjust these settings or will it mess up the tune?

kind of a rip off for the tune now that I know you can adjust the tire/gear.

I swear ford does shit like this just to ruin peoples day

So this may be on my list for Santa. Question - I noticed the tuner is $695 at Livernois vs $849 at Ford Performance. Think its been confirmed its the same thing, any reason to not order direct from Livernois?

Was thinking the same, if Livernois does a decent sale it would be difficult to say no.

Any advantage / disadvantage to buying from Livernois and not direct from Ford Performance?

You have to have a dealer install it to keep a warranty and it's 3y 36k only, from new.

Someone had it for $650 I think.

Important note here, the warranty is only the 3/36. It is my understanding that claims on any ESP or extended plan could be denied if you have the tuner installed. While the ESP cant be voided, Ford can deny a claim if they can prove the tuner may have caused the issue. One of the primary reasons I have the ESP is the 10R80. I have to believe if I had an issue /w the trans at 60k Ford is going to say well yeah you are running extra hp and torque through it w/ the tuner. Denied.

I purchased an ESP to 100k when I bought my 2022. Doesn't make sense to void that and essentially throw away the money I paid for it when the truck does what I need in stock form. The 3.5 has never struggled to pull anything I have hitched to the truck. It's crazy we have 400hp and 500ft/lbs from a factory 3.5 Turbo V6 and are still looking for more power.

Yes, you can go back to stock. That said, if Ford wanted to look they can see how many key cycles the truck has had. When it's flashed, that number goes back to zero.

can you confirm that it is possible to switch tire size in them (even if it’s just to an oem size)
