I have a 2023 XLT w/12” screen. 1st question - my fan selector speed is always on level 1. It will not go to zero. Is this the way the switch is made or is mine faulty? 2nd question - is there a mute button for the radio on the screen or panel below the screen? Can’t seem to find one. Please help

I know fan speed will be reduced if answering a phone call via Bluetooth. Just wondering if the fan can be completely turned off when driving. Mine is always on level 1, will not go to 0.

It can be. The driver side temp control knob has a power on/off button in the middle of it. Push it and your fan speed goes to 0.

Yup, just like the above post said, press the temperature control knob as it functions as an on/off button. Your blower will turn off.

Pushing the temp button did the trick. Didn’t know that function was there. I was sure that the fan wasn’t suppose to run all the time, even if it was just on level 1. As for the radio, I’ll continue to turn it down or off when needed. Just wondering if it had a mute button like my wife’s 2016 Explorer or my previously owned 2007 F150. Thanks to all for answering my questions.

When connected to the truck for hands free the music is muted during calls or listening to / responding to text messages. The blower if on a higher level also reduces speed during phone calls. I'm assuming you're not connecting the phone via bluetooth else you'd know this.

Fan level will only go to 1, never zero. The only way to stop the fan 100% is to shut off the heater or AC.

Thanks to all who responded to my concerns about fan speed control and muting the radio. Both of these issues have been resolved.

BTW, the fan speed not going to zero, is not a new thing. My 01 XLT is the same. If you want it off, you have to turn the whole HVAC system off.

On a side note... any way to bypass the fan turning down when a call comes in? When its 101* outside and you get a call, I still want that fan maxed out... (Forscan edit?)
