Make a written complaint with whomever in responsible for Consumer Complaints in you state. Here in Iowa it is the Attorney General's Office. You need to document dates, times, and include a copy of the recall letter, and who you spoke with at the dealership and at Ford.

The dealers are clueless. Sayville Ford schedules an appointment for the recall Sept 19. They then tell me "we have no parts" and make an appointment for 10-24.

I call today to check if they expect the parts only to be told "nobody ordered parts for your truck " WTF ?? I emailed the service managers and no response.

NOW I have to go to another dealer who wants me to bring the truck in AGAIN to confirm what my Ford Ap is telling me: the truck is recalled and it wasn't fixed.

WTF is going on with Ford and it's crummy dealers

Ford F-150 F150 Rear Axle Recall tumblr_o12szlRLyf1rqe0rbo1_540-4089276309

Amazing how quick people are to trash a brand due to their unfortunate situation. And it appears most of the non-satisfaction is the dealers people are stuck with that suck. Every manufacturer is going through their issues. Google Tundra recalls so you can prepare a bag of hate and disgust for them.

I just had the recall performed last week on my 21 Power Boost with Max Tow and 56,000 miles. Replaced both axles. They had the parts in stock!

If you were to divulge who this dealership is, they would probably be out of inventory before tomorrow closing. 🤣

3 steps
1 - Picture of mileage and door VIN sticker to dealer
2 - wait on parts
3 - install

High level timeline for me - step 1 early Jul - step 3 late Sep.
So 3 month queue.

Kind of funny how we as consumers jump brands based on service. I had a horrible experience with a Toyota product. Never again will I drive a Toyota. And they have their own issues with recalls. I won’t go into details. Just 100K engines to replace. As well as other things. It’s a new world we live in. We used to buy a vehicle and hope…now we buy and complain when the company honors a defective problem and replaces for free. Inconvenient I agree. But just 10-20 years ago we were stuck with it. Whatever the “it” was.

Good luck with your Tundra! Hope you enjoy it.

I got mine done with no questions or drama. Maybe do a few hard burnouts to see if they break. 😂

I have a 2025, I picked it up in early August and no notice about this so I'm assuming (for now because I haven't bought a new creeper yet and have a bad back) mine rolled off of the assembly line with the fix.

While I was waiting for my truck to get built and explaining to friends/family all of the features a PB Platinum would have I joked (even here in another thread I believe) that I was going to have to setup an FFF.

A Fix Ford Fund containing a diversified basket of equities, bonds with some dividend income.

Because of all the tech these things have now.

Five weeks of ownership and I have already received a recall for the gauge cluster. Apparently the screen can go black.

Five.

Weeks.

:)

I was only halfway joking. I knew lots of stuff is going to break.

I'm not going to take it in for that and will hopefully have that addressed when I'm at the dealer for something else.

It's a software fix I think, couldn't it just get fixed by an over-the-air update?

Problem is that Ford has known about this problem since at least 2021 and continued to make the failing parts.

Now the 23's have this problem and Ford is behind on the fix.

Combined with horrible service (BTW nobody "continues" to use to dealers with piss poor service, we stop using them when we get that service - and in recalls we have no Non-Ford option)

Not a good look along with their other numerous recalls across the product spectrum.

I have owned 4 Mustangs and they were/are great but its time for a change.

Took your advice but used A.I.:

"Ford has issued 469 vehicle safety recalls since 2015 through October 7, 2025, based on NHTSA data.

Toyota has issued 158 vehicle safety recalls since 2015, according to NHTSA data through 2024. "

Not disagreeing. At the same time I do not see where I gave advice. Good luck with your current Ford truck(s) and wishing you continued enjoyment of your mustangs! And best of luck with your Tundra…or next truck of choice.

You've been here for 24 hours and have three posts complaining. Since you're a lawyer, maybe you should have done research before getting the truck. If you don't want to own it, sell it. Continuing to complain isn't going to get you any sympathy.

The good news is that you made a brilliant move leasing instead of buying that POS Ford! :like:
