Extended Warranty

Just purchased a used 2021 F 150 King Ranch (driven by the dealer) with 16000 miles. So I still have almost 20k miles and 2 years remaining on factory warranty, but am interested in what the board says about extended warranty, both the best price from whatever dealer, and what company offers the best warranty. Found the Ford warranty only goes up to 75k miles (which tells me that's when things will start to break)! Thank you for the input!

If you plan on keeping it past the factory warranty then I feel that an official ford extended warranty is the best option. I bought from Ziegler and saved a ton over what the dealer tried to sell it to me for. He couldn’t even price match. Said the price was too good for him to even match it. I also recommend the $50 deductible. Seems to be the best deal for the money.

Highly recommend on higher trim models due to all the features, dealer convinced me.

They had some good points though, if your massage seats or any other high tech features go bad you will end up paying thousands in repairs and labor. Easier to just pay thousands for the warranty up front.

I did the same, believe it was up to 100k all warranty and maintenance included.

I also bought an extended warranty from Ford.
8 yr/100,000.
I think when this is done, some tech at the dealer flips a hidden switch to keep the car from self destruct at 36,500.

bought one for my Ranger in 05, and that thing had absolutely nothing fail for 15yr/130,000. Then, lower ball joints, brakes and rotors. I suspect a catalytic converter was failing when I sold it about a week before getting the new one.

I don't want to come across as a shill (no ties, just a pleased customer) you might contact Granger. I priced Ziegler, etc. and Granger was well below ($2-300 less). I bought both the ESP and maintenance plan with my points applied to the final cost.

Did they give you a 10 year option? I have only seen it go as high as 8 years. The years are what I like as I do not drive a lot of miles anymore.
