They have the remove the entire sunroof to get to any inner workings or seals. I went with no sun roof on my 2021 after what I went thru on my 18.

I haven't looked into the skid plates but how are they mounted? Couldn't they just unbolt the skid plates?

This part number from the parts department at my local ford fit my 2021 non camera perfect.

Yeah I did that but with my giant hands I wasn't able to get in there with the sleeves or the tailgate step on either side of it lol You mean this nipple? You didn't have to pinch any of the clips?
