I’m totally fine with keeping two trucks. Just don’t tell my wifeBonus!
Except PowerBoost resales may tank as well.
Oh well, perhaps we keep the PB too!

Eh it's understandable once you go all EV. Never having to deal with gas stations or service (outside of rotating tires) is very nice.Reading the responses on the ICE F150 forum is a DRASTICALLY different tone than reading the comments on the lightning forum
seems kinda cool. Curious what specs will look like
Curious as to why so much power? That would be more than a 200A service to a house. Big and heavy wires, maybe not really practical?I hope they make it with huge pro-power capability something like a 24kw or 48kw pro power. I also hope it will have good payload and be available with a wide range of configurations.
You’re right it was GM, but not with their Volt. GM’s Electro Motive Division EMD was highly successful with their FT Freight Locomotives.I believe GM already did this tech with the Volt
I would not be surprised if the sun sets on the PB too. This is really what most PB owners would have preferred. The ability to get at least 100+ miles of electric driving from plug in would probably cover most peoples daily driving.Bonus!

I think the current Lightning with extended range battery is a good starting point.I would not be surprised if the sun sets on the PB too. This is really what most PB owners would have preferred. The only drawback I see is capacity. This might be restrictive for payload and perhaps the PB will remain an option to get towing and hauling crowds business.
Capacity is where the specs for the Ram 1500 REV (formally Ramcharger) shines. If Ford can come out with an F-150 (Light) and F-250 (Capacity) EREV they should really fill all the slots.
Maybe Ford will surprise us and the F-150 model will deliver capacity but I kind of doubt it. They will probably look to see the demand and if it is there, move the tech to the 250 for the people that need those higher specs.
I would like it to be able to be used as a home back up generator. With the battery the generator would be used in a much efficient way.Curious as to why so much power? That would be more than a 200A service to a house. Big and heavy wires, maybe not really practical?
If a nicely equipped new EREV Lightning F-150 could give numbers like that without Max Load and Max that packages, it would be a total winner.I think the current Lightning with extended range battery is a good starting point.
Curb weight approx 6,800lbs
Payload approx 2,000lbs
Towing approx 10,000lbs
Those numbers are within striking range of the mythical Ramcharger![]()
