Just wanted to say thank you to everyone in this forum. Ran all the FDRS updates on my '21 Limited. Was a bit nervous at first but after the first few went through, confidence built up a bit. Now onto enabling blue cruise 1.4

PSA: I have come across a few people that after updating the IPMA with FDRS recently have found that BC stops working. On a few occasions now, it seems like FDRS is partially or entirely wiping the config in the IPMA for BC in favor of TJA (traffic jam assist).

If anyone with a BC equipped truck notices BC stops working after updating the IPMA, check to make sure these settings are there in FORScan and if they are not, change it to this:

1) The 10amp would be enough for most modules, but for the IPMA that takes 6 hours, the 20amp is a much better option if you want to avoid problems. Not worth saving $10-$15 by buying the 10amp version.

2) No, you can put the company name as whatever you want. It could be a fake name.

3) Lmk if you want me to add you to the list. It would be 4-6 weeks before I can get to you based on the people you have ahead of you.
Please add me to the list

I have finally worked up the nerve to dive into attempting module updates via FDRS. I haven't even downloaded the software yet, and I already got stuck. After following the links on the FDRS Guide to download the software, I was led to here:

Ford F-150 ECU module programming guide using FDRS Screenshot 2025-06-03 074039

Which of these am I suppose to download? (Be patient with me - apparently, I'm an idiot!)

EDIT: Never mind - I abandoned the link and did a search on my own. I found the right place to be and got the software.

I also download and install the VCI software but others have mentioned its not necessary.
You will also need to install the software for your device, Mongoose adapter

I've downloaded/installed FDRS, paid for my license, and have been trying for over an hour to login, and I can't.

There are many posts of people with similar issues, and I have read most of the responses, but nothing has worked for me. Can someone help me figure this out?

Very common problem for people logging in for the first time and can be very frustrating. Uninstall FDRS and reinstall it and try again. Sometimes, you just have to wait a bit for the license to actually be active and the login will work.

Will the same license key still work?

There is an option in the menu to return the license. That will remvoe it from the laptop so you can reapply it later. I do'nt think a reinstall is neccessary, just time for the account to activate. If I login every 60 days I don't have any issues. If I don't login for 6 months, I have this issue. It clears up after a few hours usually.

I engaged in the reinstall process prior to seeing @rugedraw's response confirming that the same license key would work and before seeing your reply. I'm not sure I am understanding the last part of your reply correctly - are you saying that I have to continue to attempt to login for several hours before it eventually lets me in???

Very possible. It has happened to many people here over the course of this thread. All they did was try to log in again later and it worked without doing anything creative.

Just one suggestion for troubleshooting logging in to FDRS

Are you using the same credentials as your FordPass/Ford.com account?

If yes, try opening a browser and logging into Ford.com first. Upon success, minimize the browser (don't close it) and then launch a fresh session of FDRS using the same credentials.

Basically leveraging Ford's SSO (single sign on) infrastructure
