I didn't see any codes

I don't see any and drives fine.
The IPMA software you have ACJ was beta BC 1.4. I don't think you're going to see any improvements by updating the IPMA. Not sure what's going on in your case. There's another procedure in the ipma that let's you write the config to it. Try running that to see if it goes through.

If I'm not expecting much changes I might just give up for this weekend of updates. How about the APIM? I did it yesterday and thought it was done but since I did that read config a new one showed up.

IPMA as built

706-02-02

xxxF xxxx xx--

If you don't have an F there, put one write the change and reboot the IPMA.
Ok, so my first number is 8041…I changed to 804F, wrote, saved, rebooted the IPMA…no change. Hmm

Just wanted to publicly thank rugedraw for the assistance. There were only a few times when I thought I might be in trouble (like the time the 30 timer turned off the truck during one of the USB updates), but besides that and not knowing what happened after all the updates had been run but no new BC features (needed to enable Forscan codes) it was pretty painless, just very time consuming. In the end mission accomplished(Lane Change Assist and Turn Slowdown made it worth it), and since I had to hop into Forscan anyway i immediately turned off the double honk. I've seen livinitup's spreadsheet referenced so I probably check that out in combination with some forum discussion to see what other features folks are normally adjusting.

Oh I did have any issue with the PSCM being offline and after a few tries I just ran the initial FDRS scan while the truck was fully on(as opposed to just ignition being on) and that seemed to resolve the issue. I know nothing at all about these trucks but the theory in my head was that the power steering module wouldn't be on when the truck wasn't running because you can turn the steering when the truck isn't running)

Anyway Thanks again.

I upgraded mine to an H7, but you can go H8 if you want if your truck is not a PB. It takes longer to charge, but it takes longer to discharge, too. With the H7, you can reuse the heat shield from your OEM battery, but it most likely won't fit over the H8.

Edit: Confirmed that the restart required loop is a bad battery.
So on Saturday I installed the H8 battery. The USB is still in, just waiting for something else to happen with the truck. When I start it, the sync version shows as blank. I'm "assuming" that I am just waiting for it to get unstuck again and then it can try to install?

I still have an FDRS license if there is anything you think I could do with that? Otherwise, just hanging out for now.

Did you reset the BMS after you put the new battery in?

Sorry, yes.

I fully charged the battery, installed it, and reset BMS. Auto Start Stop works again now, so the battery no longer seems to be the issue.

Hmmm. The Sync version going blank usually happens when the APIM is updated. I would leave the USB in there for a few key cycles to see what happens. Or, plug the truck into FDRS and do a network scan to see if the APIM update is still there or if it is gone and replaced with a GWM or TCU update in it's place.

it’s been probably 20 key cycles since Saturday. Lots of errands and running around.
I’ll connect again tonight and run another scan. I didn’t have a GWM update previously, so I’d imagine if the APIM worked properly, I should see it now?

Yes, if the USB update installed, when you scan the truck with FDRS, it will be gone from the list.

Well... I plugged it in to rerun the network test. That's a lot more orange than I had before... and the APIM update is still there.

I don't know how to user FDRS well enough to make sense of it. I'm basically just following guides and using common sense.

Ok give me a bit. I'll ask Jesse to take a look at your truck tomorrow. Just leave the USB in there for now.

After so much stress and anxiety and barely hanging on to patience, I am happy to announce a beautiful 21146 Sync version!
